is there a possibility he could join the RP-NT? isn't it there's a FIBA ruling once a player already plays for a NT of certain country he can't join another one?

as other forumer say backread some forums you will find an article about charlie v allowed to play for Dominican Republic even though he played for us u20:D
"Basta lang pumayag yung old team"

trans: Its a possibility:D

I know these are just rumors for now but someone in the PBA-RP team should realize that we need to thoroughly scout these guys.

@nardy

sir, i do sense a communication barrier of sorts between the two of you because the young man doesn't seem to understand English the way we would. is his mother really a Filipina? if so, is he aware of our citizenship laws? (or does he think he's exclusively Japanese because of his supposed participation with the Japanese U17 team?)

why would he go through all the trouble on posting all that info (+ PBA player comparison) about the Japanese NT? perhaps an OFW poser?

he said that he is not a filipino... and when i ask him if he is a half pinoy he said that he is "half" and later ask what is the meaning of "pinoy" then i find it strange coz his name in this forum is" astig_pinoy"... i said to him that it means Filipino or a philippine citizen and he replied and said that he is not a "philippine" thats the exact words he say...

IT ONLY SHOWS THAT THE ONE WHO POSTED HERE IN INTERBASKET.NET CLAIMING TO BE JIMMY HAYAKAWA IS NOT REALLY THE REAL ONE. DID YOU NOT NOTICE AFTER I POSTED THE REPLY OF JIMMY, ASTIG PINOY AS OF NOW HAS NOT REPLIED YET NOR POSTED ANYTHING ABOUT THE SAID TOPIC. ...... HE IS ANOTHER PETER OMONDI IF YOU STILL REMEMBER HIM IN THIS FORUM. THE TRUTH IS THE REAL JIMMY HAYAKAWA IS PART BOLIVIAN.

Because Jesronne, the Jimmy Hayakawa the Japanese Player in Facebook is not the same Astig Pinoy here in Interbasket.net. The one here in this forum is nothing but a poser ......

I hope we stop discussing this AT KUMUKULO DUGO KO. Let's go back to the topic of this thread please.

Our team needs to watch out for not falling below 9th place because that would be a monumental disaster but based on the RP teams preparation (is there any preparation at all?) there's a big possibility it could happen.

What we must do even if 2011 is still far away is that the GILAS team must not think that we would ever get the luck of the draw. Based on the drawings made for the team groupings of the past tournaments, the FIBA Rankings had an influence and with our present 63rd rank, it is more likely we'll end up again in a Group of Death or something like that. So we must be prepared for all comers. We must always play to win and the team must play their best all the time. The best favor the POWERADE could give to the GILAS TEAM is for it to place in the Top 3 of this coming FIBA-Asia and qualify for the World Championship then get at least a worthy placing, that's the only way we could rise from our current FIBA Ranking. And if POWERADE places 9th or below, we might sink much deeper in the rankings.

Right, right but can we really depend on this powerade team it's like asking for a Jaworski 2 week preparation miracle again.
But I've read from Sir Jay mercado in PEX that this could actually be possible since the two coaches have the same kind of style only that Jawo is far more greater of a motivator but you can't also doubt Guiao's intelligence but not tested in Asian competition though.
