It is highly doubtful they will beat Serbia but they have beaten better teams in their history. This is not Japan or Angola...PR is a real caliber team.
Well,I am fully aware for the talent of the team. Therefore Puerto Rico has showed chemistry issues and lack of teamwork at the previous tournaments.Undoubtedly their talent pool can be compared with only a few teams, but they can lose their concentration easily. That's mostly their negative characteristic and the one that will chase them until this generation retires. My prediction is that they will reach the final.1997 - 2012 - 2013

We have major weaknesses that will cause us to have problem beating any team in the upcoming tournament. First we have a very weak front court that can't defend, rebound or score consistently. Our best rebounders are Balkman and Clemente (both are around 200cm tall), which is evidence of how bad Ramos, Sánchez and Bryan Diaz are on that end.
Second, teams like Serbia are way tougher mentally than we are, and that is why we usually lose against European teams. When things don't go our way we start arguing with the referees and not running back of defense. On top of that we start making bad decisions while teams like Serbia will usually keep playing their offensive sets no matter what happens.
Against Angola we might lose, considering the fact that we lost against African teams in both, 2010 and 2014 World Championships. Puerto Rico usually has a hard time with African teams speed and athleticism.
Overall our weaknesses probably are:
Taking too many 3's when they are not falling
Missing too many FT's
Weak front court
Crumbling under pressure situations
Size
EDIT: My prediction for Puerto Rico is:
We lose against Serbia big
Win against Angola in a close game
Lose against Latvia in a clsoe game

To clarify, Sanchez did not play, Holland used his jersey.

84-76 Turkey over the Philippines. (19-20, 21-13, 25-20, 19-23).
5 Turks in double figures. Ali Muhammed leads all scorers for Turkey with 16 points.
Blatche leads all scorers for the Philippines with 20 points, followed by Terrence Romeo with 16 points.
Even though we lost, it's still a game full of hope for our team. Our young guys contributing big in the 3rd, fearlessly holding their ground against the 12 Giant Men of Turkey.
Lesson of the game: You need to make your free throws in order to win games.Originally posted by gideonNot sure why all on here got salty when the Serbian coach said Gilas lacked any real quality. I mean isn't that glaringly obvious.

Lithuania has played two friendly games. We still miss J. Valančiūnas, D. Motiejūnas (not sure if he will come at all), D. Sabonis, J. Mačiulis, M. Kalnietis, P. Jankūnas. The results:
Lithuania vs. New Zealand 88:58 (28:12, 21:21, 17:14, 22:11)
Lithuania vs. Tunisia 81:56 (16:9, 20:12, 32:16, 13:19)Girdėjau gandą - ateina lietūs
