    Iran, Korea win

Iran handled Taiwan easily, 76-64. The Philippines and Taiwan are about the same level.

Korea beat Jordan, 70-65 in close game. Korea must be better than the Philippines.

It was just barely 12 hours after RP Team's Olympic hopes vanished and emotions are still in their hearts incluidng us here at forum. It's not right to say they couldn't handle Syria like other teams did. Physically, RP Team has no problem but getting over psychologically in an emotion filled game took its toll on RP Team. I dont know if they had enough sleep last night but they certainly did just enough to win this one against upstart Syria.

I just remembered in the NBA when Magic Johnson suddenly retired after testing positive for HIV, the LA Lakers who were a strong championship team back then, lost the next game by 40+ points.

Just want to congratulate Phil. NT for bagging the 9th slot. It's not really that bad for a team that had training for 5 months after the FIBA lifted the ban. They pulled off a great fight inspite of what happened yesterday which brought emotional stress on them. Anyways, it's just the beginning and I know they are up for an amelioration.

Better stop all your rumbling and start accepting the fact that RP5 choked
under pressure and Reyes collapsed under extreme nervousness.

It only shows this team motivation or non of it and Reyes poor motivation
                skills.

From Jones Cup and Manila Invitational to Fiba-Asia, Where had all your
passing and your playing skills went?!

Even if we won the game against Jordan, We'll lose eventually.

Just keep on dreaming, sorry but the truth hurts!

Congratulations! I hope you go all the way, but it will be tough going all the way.

I think the Final Four will be Iran, Jordan, South Korea, and Lebanon.

I would say, Jordan lost due to fatigue and stress playing in Group A, Philippines matches well againts equally finesse teams like Korea and Taiwan.

"Your team deserves to be in the Final 4"

“I know psychologically and physically your team is very tired. We tried to take our chance, but we’re not just lucky.... your team deserves to be in the Final 4.” - Coach Samer Kayaly, Syria

“We knew that the Philippines is a very strong team but they might be drained coming from tough games in their group. It did show they’re not in their usual selves but still better than us. The Philippines should have been in the Final Four,” said Syrian coach Samer Kayaly.

First It was the coach of Jordan... now the Coach of Syria...wow... despite the lost from Jordan and Iran..Im still happy that some coaches think that we are better than placing in 9th place...
