Saturday April 14 2012, Tip-off 3pm local time, Mahaka Square, Jakarta, Indonesia.

It didn’t take long for Stanley Pringle and Evan Brock to excite the Indonesia Warriors’ crowd. Pringle’s killer crossovers and Brock’s powerful dunks had all the Warriors’ fans off their seats. Pringle finished with 24 points and Brock added 18 points in their debut to help the Warriors beat Westports Malaysia Dragons 98-80 this afternoon at Mahaka Square.

Pringle made an immediate impact in the first quarter, making 6 of his first 7 shots and going on to finish the quarter with 14 points. The Warriors had a fast start as they made 14 out their 17 shots to lead 32-20 after the first quarter.

Brock continued to entertain the Warriors fans with his dunks. Warriors fans were on their feet after Brock caught an alley-oop from Mario Wuysang early in the third quarter. On the next possesion, Brock hit a jumper to give Warriors their biggest lead in the game 62-36 with 9:13 left in the third quarter. Brock, who arrived in Jakarta on Thursday and was still adjusting to the weather, got a cramp in the fourth quarter after his dunk and had to be subbed out.

The Dragons made a 20-6 run to trim their deficit to 56-68 with 3:39 left in the third quarter after a three-point shot by Tiras Wade. Back to back three point shots by Amin Prihantono and a lay-up by Rony Gunawan quashed their attempt and the Warriors led 81-61 with 1:17 left in the third.
The Warriors dominated the boards as they outrebounded the Dragons 48-26 in this game. Steven Thomas finished with 22 rebounds for the Warriors. Dragons’ leading rebounder Brian Williams was still sitting out in today’s game but the Dragons expect him to come back next weekend.
Tiras Wade had 22 points and former Indonesia Warriors’ import Jonathan Smith added 21 points and 10 rebounds for the Dragons. Chemistry has been an issue for the Dragons lately and it showed late in the first quarter when Wade and Nic Belasco got into a heated discussion on the court.
After this win, the Warriors moved up to the third position with a record of 8 wins and 9 losses. The Warriors will travel to Manila to face AirAsia Philippine Patriots on Saturday April 21. On the same day, the Dragons will host Saigon Heat at MABA Stadium.

      Warriors: Stanley Pringle – 24pts, Evan Brock – 18pts, Steve Thomas – 17pts, Mario Wuysang – 12pts, Joseph Allan Salangsang – 9pts, Amin Prihantono – 8pts, Jerick Canada – 6pts, Donny Ristanto – 2pts, Rony Gunawan – 2pts.

      Dragons: Tiras Wade – 22pts, Jon Smith – 21pts, Guga Batumalai – 11pts, Patrick Cabahug – 10pts,Chris Pacana – 8pts, Nic Belasco – 4pts, Seelan Kuppusamy – 3pts, John Ng – 1pt.

A detail which others will forget because he's too small at 5'11"

The guy is not without skills, i do hope the PBA rules change because as many have mentioned he is a legit baller. NT material? Possibly. PBA? MVP vs SMC again, huh? But definitely not ABL material as his talent will be wasted there.

Pringle is the type of player who can play both international type and the PBA type of game.(like alapag,no matter how small he is)

What im saying is, PBA is harder to play because of its physicality and plays that encourages skill manipulation and street smarts. While FIBA style is more of team play, set plays and crisp passing. FIBA is a chess match while PBA is monopoly este jackstone.
While a PBA team may not do wonders in a FIBA tournament, ANY asian team would find it hard to win in the PBA playing PBA rules(ie as a guest team). Im saying that PBA is harder to play because a team only finds it hard to play in fiba if that team is not prepared. In the PBA no matter how prepared you are, you are not yet sure of a win! There are more factors in the PBA although it is not as complicated as that in FIBA.
                        Darling it's better
                        Down where it's wetter
                        Take it from me.

he got game for sure. but is he as good as el khatib or bahrami or daghlas? to paraphrase, can he lead the philippines to the asian championships, or at least a podium finish? something that elite filipino guards like alapag, caguioa, helterbrand, casio, miller, yap, lassiter, and lutz has failed to do (so far)?

What does 35+ inch vertical leap do in FIBA games? .... virtually nothing actually.

well, this midget has euroball experience. besides, more than his hops, the pringlebator has shown great explosiveness and three-point accuracy. these 2 things are very important in FIBA games.
