Upcomming UAAP Collegiate Players for th 2010 Season

Besides the regular final four cast of returning cagers.. im simply pinning on the Archers return to glory with the likes of Joshua Webb and A. Bringas .... im not being selfish and all but really to me without the Archers and the Blue Eagles in the finals mix...

uhm.. webb and bringas arent upcoming. they arrived last year...

In terms of overall impact to the team I would say Mike Silungan will lead all newcomers. I will not be surprised at all if Mike will be among the frontrunners for regular season MVP award.

he already spent 2 years in UP due to residency. someone correct me on this but the last time i saw this guys name, he is currently injured?

ok, let me throw some names and ill let the more knowledgable people provide indepth comments, (no im not gonna list all the possible 1st year ballers, just those that might fit the topic):

moralde(just because he is suppose to be going to NU)
saret, vigil, and vosotros - they'll be going to the guard oriented system of the pumaren's
silungan - a shooter in the land where offense is scarce
escueta and erram - not on offense but on defense. they'll get lots of playing time and i believe they'll do a whole lot better than justin. i dont know why, just a hunch
tolomia - andy is gone, leaving a nice void for chris to fill on

there are other good prospects but i think these guys will do a little better than those.

thanks for the info sir, i can say that you know a lot about uaap.. i am big fan of ateneo basketball.. besides lasalle, feu and ue.. other teams have a lot of catching up to do..

probably ust will make a turn around in terms of recruitment after the 2011 celebration. :)

i thought Neypes was already UP bound?

I have no video nor stats. He played some college ball in Chicago and from what I know has only 2 years of eligibility left.

Shooters in the Philippines are not rare, in fact there might be other better shooters than him. But what separates Mike from the rest is his advance skills that supplement his shooting like off the ball movement, ability to penetrate, ability run plays for the team, etc.

That, and the fact that he's at least 6'4".

i wonder who UE will parade next season?

Adu might(im not sure if enrolled already) have the PG from PCCr but with canada and alvarez, i doubt he'll be ablt to play much this season

UP should have extra offense once Silungan plays and if Manuel indeed goes to Diliman.

question to the SBC people: where is art dela cruz going?

bedista.com peeps are reporting that dela cruz has been "assured" of a Team A slot in ateneo as Frankie Lim did not even bother to pursue him or merely offered a Team B slot.

Dela Cruz promised a Team A slot for Ateneo?

Kinda not seeing the logic for this but its their call.

If he pushes thru with DLSU im expecting big things from Tampus with DLSU.
