UAAP season 87

I'm simply commenting on the "evidence". The facts are Torres invaded his personal space, covered his mouth and no spit came out of Topex's mouth yet he cried to their bench that there was one.

This makes him look worse and it's funny how people pretend otherwise.

Again i am from DLSU but the argument of Topex’s personal space is crazy .we’re talking about a basketball game. He was on the sideline not the bench. Torres or any other player has just as much of a right to pass there as him on a dead ball situation. The other fact is there was a white substance photographed on his shoulder .

Topex said they were talking and Reyland said otherwise but on the “ video “ that everyone is showing Topex it looks like they weren’t even talking .

It's called boundaries and looking at it from this angle makes it look like there wasn't any.

Looks like KQ's MVP campaign is no longer gonna be affected by FIBA as the second round concludes on Nov 16.

However, what's scary is it MIGHT get him to miss Final Four games should DLSU advance to the post season.

dlsu people keep pushing that he spat on his shoulder while covering his mouth with his jersey. Idk how anyone can spit on their own shoulder while looking straight and something blocking your mouth and to think of that in the middle of your team having a run.

The mental gymnastics is crazy. There wont be a video of topex spitting cause it seems like a 1/1000000 video shot. With everything it just seeems much more likely that Topex spat. His head moved a little when Reyland walked in front of him

They'll probably have a break during the FIBA dates.

Youre doing the same mental gymnastics here. At the end of the day you are just guessing since again nothing conclusive on video, including the videos which the board was shown.

Without anything definitive how can the board act? Will they also take Topex at his word that Reyland was talking profanely? If they pick ones word then thats what should happen.

This will probably end up with both parties getting a very stern warning from the UAAP committee concerned and more measures to be set in place to prevent this from happening.

They shouldnt act of course cause it should be conclusive . Its just far more likely for that to happen then for Reyland to make a story up.

Logically unsound. In any court of law, when you accuse someone, you are required to present concrete evidence; otherwise, it remains a mere allegation. This is precisely why the concept of false accusations exists.

I’ve heard there are possibilities of Torres facing consequences for damaging Topex’s reputation. I’m not certain if the UAAP will go that far, but it could serve as a way to maintain discipline if they do.

no denying its impossible to present evidence but if theres smoke theres fire. Something def happened but it being caught on video is impossible . So are you gonna go out on a limb and say its a false accusation?

No, but it is an unproven accusation. To say it's false accusation means there was malicious intent behind it and from what I saw in the "evidence" that was inconclusive too.

Why would it be impossible to be caught on video if it indeed happened? Onchie dela Cruz was caught spitting in the 80s. You can count in one hand the number of cameras in the whole venue, it was a dead ball situation and it just so happens one camera points at the right direction at the right moment.

If nothing happened, then that would be when having a video will be impossible.

With what we have now, nothing is conclusive for any of the arguments. "Nagsasayang lang tayo ng laway."

UP has made it known they want Topex to be suspended. What UP wants, UP gets (with Rebo and Xavy freaking Nunag there? Of course they will)

if cha34 won’t then I will.

This is Reyland Torres we are talking about. The same guy called for an unsportsmanlike foul on Mike Phillips in Game 3 of last years finals. The same guy who purposely bumped into Nelle and exchanged words with him in the same finals series. How quickly people forget.

If people are going to bring up that YouTube video from many years ago with Doug Kramer as circumstantial proof against Topex, then shouldn’t we take a look at the character of Torres based on his behavior as recent as last season too?

As I said earlier in the thread, he’s not exactly and exemplar of good behavior. Quite the contrary in fact.

Furthermore, if we are to believe what the former PBA players say in the old video is true, then we must also accept their claim that it’s easy to control where your saliva lands when you spit. Isn’t that right?

So it must be easy for Torres do it to himself and
blame CTR.
