uhhh, it is a sacrifice for team Air21. Dondon is one of their top 2 players.

maybe what you're trying to say is that it's not much of a sacrifice for PBA as a whole when you know there are younger and more promising players from the other teams.

sige na nga  well if "sacrifice" as you claim it, they're not going to be Slaughtered and become Shawarma for the middle eastern teams. If that's your definition of sacrifice, and yes I expect the PBA to make such "sacrifice".Those words are like music to my ears..."sacrifice","dedication","passion" and manu's favorite word of all time.."puso":p

I think we can hear word sacrifices such like that in UAAP teams in the next 3 years or maybe in next three months;)

again that kind of backward thinking would not get us nowhere. If the PBA thinks like you Ms.Big Ticket then it's the end of RP basketball.Asia has got more than a Billion people for us to under estimate the level of competition.I know it's not a matter of life and death for the PBA,but come to think of it the popularity of the league was not as popular as it was then when we were having some quite of success in the international scene.

I remember someone saying "bakit ka nanonood ng PBA e mga unano naman yan?" Trans: why watch a bunch of midgets play basketball? and come to think of it yes,we are like midgets compared to other countries..that's why we try to "choose" the best, athletic and experienced players to form our national squad, then you'll gonna come up with some BS question like choosy pa?i mean how stupid can you get? it's not as if Dondon (again i'm not against Mr.Hontiveros on this one) is 6 foot 8 with an almost 7 foot wingspan and is athletic enough to go against OKC's Thabo Sefalosha(and he's not the most athletic guy in the NBA).

The PBA teams treat their players more than NBA players because I don't see any top American or European team send a bunch of amateur guys to represent their country.Even the powerade team who Guiao claims the most athletic national team formed was not athletic enough to win against teams like Qatar and Korea. If we don't send the best RP basketball or at least the PBA could offer then we might as well try our luck in football or maybe synchronized swimming instead of winning phony PBA championships that proves nothing.

Now if you're gonna ask sensitive pa? yes I am because the PBA has got it all wrong if they are going to think that our amateur squad will make the cut or maybe they want this all amateur squad to fail for them to make a stupid statement of some sort.

You have your ideals and PBA owners have their business to take care of. i guess if you look at it purely from your (patriotic) perspective i guess you really won't understand the situation. i can't blame you at all you're just being, as i've said, idealistic (on top of being patriotic) but not realistic where your (intentional?) ignorance comes from.

I'm baffled on why you love TOROMAN so much???

Your reaction whenever there is a negative comments about him is

It seems that you will sacrifice your life for him:eek::eek:

hope people here will still have the same things to say when they stop receiving allowances from their mothers.....happy mother's day!

The ARRIVAL OF TOROMAN MAKES THE BASKETBALL IN THE PHILIPPINES LESS FAMOUS AND WORST QUALITY AT ALL TIME.

IF IT IS A DIFFERENT COACH, THE IMPROVEMENT OF THESE PLAYERS WILL BE BETTER.

I think most THE GILAS PLAYERS now is having"HEARING' PROBLEM BECAUSE "SHOUTING", "COMPLAINING TO THE REF"' IS ONLY TOROMAN greatest talent.

:eek::eek::eek:

coach Kalbs, ikaw ba iyan yaaah hahaha:)

how stupid are you? I mean expecting professional players to play for you country is not idealistic and the pba has done this before.I'll not be surprised if you and kiko are the same person because you have the same line of thinking.

It is a matter of finding a solution to make the PBA cooperate. We can't simply give up on our professional league; where do you think the Gilas players and the youth players will end up in the future?

As indicated in my signature, a strong professional league is key to forming a strong national squad. Why do you think our women's squad is not as competitive as our men's squad? Korea, Japan and Taiwan have very strong female national teams because they have their own professional leagues for women, not just men.

Face the reality: professional leagues predominantly defines the strength of a national team.

Obviously not as stupid as you. i am not surprised if you are one of namamangha's minions ;)

Thank you for the civil reply. Unlike some, not only you have sense but you have respect for the opinions of others. And yes, i agree with you that the professional league, in this case the PBA, has its responsibility being part of the SBP for the national team. All i am saying is that, you have to consider everything-- from the politics side, MVP vs SMC to the business side, the costs and risks and loaning of the respective franchise's players. It's not black and white as people (particularly Alex) deem it to be-- can't blame them really for having a one-track mind-- after all, you can't expect these people to be objective since they have their own biases.

you can't even make a valid argument.you defend the PBA like you're one of the team owners, well in your dreams boy

Because i won't stoop down to your level. ;) You resort to name-calling when you are losing an argument, so what's the point? (As you can see i replied to InterX in a nice way because he responded in a civil tone; unlike you, who while has Alex for a nick, has the monkey attitude, so again, what is the point in replying to a close-minded person (?) like you?)

hehehe is this your own version of ikaw kasi bad ka?you don't call names when you call somebody ignorant? better straighten up your mind boy and make a valid argument or start something like these are the reasons why my beloved PBA can't form a national team..well you can't start something like that because you don't represent the PBA eh?Now can you point out why the UAAP is more popular than the PBA nowadays?tell you one reason it's because the UAAP has a bunch of lovely ladies in the stands while the PBA has you and kick matsing holding posters of Ronald Tubid and Willie Miller in the ringside.
