you deserve mercy killing with posts like that..
hmm...i changed my mind -how about slow blunt knife death...
yeahh.
thats more likely for your ignorance

You should reserve those fates for supporters of rival teams.

:p

just to make my point of view...
For me,that is all i dreamed about.1/4 ....I never asked for more...I thought that we might be here with 3/2 or 2/3 in the group and a lucky draw afterwards...I read one comment after group games in lrytas -" no matter what happens afterwards,i will come to the airport and "nulenksiu savo zila galva"".
Strong stuff.
There should be many haters or lamers/trolls deleting their posts as well from our nt team thread.
Regarding the game- we can win if -
we know that scola and delphino will score, and priggione will pass a ball to them...
but if we have more than kleiza scoring,we can win...
And we have like 8 another players waiting to have a good game -4 or five of them actually having a good game would mean a victory....Against china we had only 2 players - kleiza and gecevicius, with kalnietis adding few...how about maciulis?or jankunas?or jasaitis waiting for his game...?
anyway ,i hope kemzura knows something about delfino, this is our big advantage too no one talks about

In this game I would not mind having Jomantas on our team. Few years ago it was him who defended pretty well against Delfino when Rytas faced Delfino and his team in ULEB final.

But that would still leave Scola problem open for us.

Scola would toy with Javtokas as he is two times faster, specially now when Javtokas is even slower because of his injury. Kleiza, Klimavičius and even Mačiulis could take shot. Jankūnas is too slow and not athletic enough at least to try (BTW, I expected more from Jankūnas in this torunament. I know Kleiza is playing in his position, but the guy is playing like veteran and forgot to play in low post completely).

Klimavicius? Sorry but no. he is bad, they always say he is bad against taller guys but he just seems bad in general. I really would not like to see Scola guarded by Klimavicius.

Jankunas is as you mentioned too slow. The guy is 26 years of age but he plays like hes breaking 40. I think Jankunas problems began in Zlgiris already, before he left, as he fell more and more in love with his 3 point shot which is just as 'good' as Maciulis 3 pointers (randomly falls but mostly its just bricking).

Javtokas without injury could try, but with an injury he is just too slow.

Andriuskevicius sucks on defensive end. He is ok only against not skilled opponents who are impressed by his height and long arms too bad that he lacks timing, jump to be a blocker and awareness and strength to be at least presence inside.

If Andriuskevicius or Klimavicius will try to guard Scola then we will be witnessing a lot of 2+1 from Argentinian.

Our options are mostly Kleiza and Maciulis. But as mentioned we will need Kleiza on offense even more and Scola is good at provoking fouls so yeah... And Maciulis is a good defender but he would lack height. Still better than Jasaitis who is also a good defender but would lack not only height but strength as well.

Why is Darius Songaila not playing this year anyway? And how about Šarūnas Jasikevičius?

Songaila retired from the NT a long time ago (although he may come back for next year's Eurobasket), while Jasikevičius decided to rest this summer. He's old and all, his body is not as it used to be...

This will be agreat match. I give Argentina the advantage, they are the obvious favourites, but I still think Lietuva can take it, if they stay focused.
Btw, how many ltv fans are out there in Turkey?

It's hard to tell, there were around over 600 in the beginning, some of them went home after the group stage, but some new fans should have arrived, so we'll see.

And there are a lot of Argentinian fans in Turkey, so this time Lithuanian fans will have some decent competition.

4 hours left. Edit: shit, it's actually 7 hours left. Why oh why does it have to be the last game? :(

today morning woke up with some kind of bad feeling. somehow I feel that someone from the Argentine's bench players today can play the way as we do not expect from him. who could it be I do not know, but... I hope I'm wrong

Wish you all a good game and a happy ending ;)

In this game I really dont know which team to support! The good thing is we're gonna watch a great game for a third day in a row! Thank God i'm still young with no heart problems because i would risk a heart attack with these stressful endings lately...

To bad they took Andriuskevicius who isn't playing at all and left Motiejunas at home...

Donatas Motiejūnas is one of the big prospects in Lithuania, I was quiet surprised with his withdrawal from the 2010 NBA Draft. He want to play in the NBA in the future?
