Ze 'zmart' guyz alwayz emerge when zis Zmart Gilaz team failz in any way..:p

Game 2 in a few minutes! I will really have another hard time cheering.. HAHA :D

My prediction is Gilas Pilipinas will win this series 3-1. Despite Ginebra playing well they only managed to win by a solitary point and could have lost. Unlike the Nationals who had their sub par performance.

You definitely have a point here.. Ginebra was hitting impossible shots and Gilas was not having a great day but still the former managed to only win that much..

Ihave the series 2-2 before game 5.. For me, anyone can win after that..:D:D:D

Ang gagaling magbigay payo ah, may isa pang forumer na nabuhay sa pagkatalo ng gilas. Lumalabas lang pag kautak biya ninyo.

Trans: pBA the best!

in terms of their long-term goal, only game 1 matters. and game 5 if it goes there.

Great start by Gilas. Douhtit is really active and the guys are hitting their outside shots. Weirdly, by my count, Ginebra is still leading the offensive rebounds category. They can blowout Ginebra if they keep the Gins off the offensive glass.

jao says the opposite...gilas with more offensive caroms

No exact numbers here but saw some Hatfield and Brumfiled offensive rebounds. Anyway, Ceska just interviewed Uichico, who whines about the physicality of the game and that the calls are one-sided. i kind of agree, lots of moving screens from Gilas but then again, FIBA plays that way so i digress.

regardless, its a good game so far.

Barroca hits a three and Gilas gains 6 point lead. It's an all-Brumfield show for the Gins, they need some other guys to step up.

Douhtit's screens a key for Gilas, Gins should stop going under these screens because Gilas is shooting quite well tonight.

i agree, we have another competitive outing so far. Brumfield still doing his thing as Gilas players starts getting called for fouls (Uichico working the refs--- working so far :D)

brumfield's transition attack reminds me of noli locsin circa 1994-1995.

With better ballhandling skills. Noli's postgame is something though. Gilas frontcourt (aside from Douhtit) should start stopping Brumfield now else the haters will come out and criticize how a midget powerforward is dominating them :D

that's why asi and kelly will be there ;)

But but we won't see Asi and Douhtit together at all :D Offensively, Gilas is getting there but defensively lots of backdoor plays for Ginebra which keeps them in the ball game.

"If they continue to play "dirty", we'll be ready for them" - Chris Tiu.

That's the spirit. i see less whining from Gilas players today and they took the initiative in playing physical basketball from the start (special mention: Lassiter's elbow to Wilson's Adam's Apple)

Rugged defense is a hair strand away from being dirty. It's actually how you see things. more importantly, it is for what team you are rooting for.

But that Yancy crap, that's one filthy elbow.

True. And this is Yancy we are talking about, rep precedes him anyway.
