What?!?!? OAKA contains more than 18.000 sits/?!? why it looks like a 11,-12,000 arena? hard to believe mybe ther is other arena in Pao i forgot?

and by the way? what happens with Bologna? i miss this basketball city so much! Kinder bologna Puf Bolonga and mybe Virtus but Virtus was less successful time.

Tonia, it would be as. But sometimes the arenas capacity are not the same on all the sources...generally the difference is a few dozen or at most a few hundred on the reports of several sites. Also in the football stadiums many times it is the same thing, except perphaps for the English stadiums, whose capacity is ever very accurate. I have read the capacity of PAO's arena on the official site of the Greek Basketball League (ESAKE). Thanks anyway for your reply. Bye from Giovanni :)

Naturally the capacity arena is that of Virtus, which is in serie A, while Fortitudo is in fourth serie

Sometimes people count it differently. As I know in some arenas there can be extra seats so things like that sometimes are counted, sometimes are not.

And Barça too http://www.acb.com/fichas/LACB53294.php

There are a lot of mistakes here. As far as the discrepancy with OAKA - the 17,600 is the capacity for gymnastics competitions at the 2004 Olympics. It is not the capacity for basketball matches. The Greek League website just made an error.

The basketball capacity is 18,500 permanent fan seats, 300 permanent media seats and then there are about 400-500 seats available in luxury chairs that they add for the Giannakopouloi related people. Those are temporary though.

Then there is about 1,500 total of temporary seats that can be added for the fans if there is a big derby game in the finals against Olympiacos. So really, it can hold 20,000 for basketball games.

Keep in mind that NBA arenas ALWAYS only list in max capacity, and just about every arena of the NBA has 1,500 to 2,000 temporary seats. So European arenas are bigger then people think as compared to NBA arenas because NBA counts all the folding chairs.

Anyway, I also don;t believe that Peristeri's arena only seats 3,000. That can't be right. It looks bigger than that and they also played in the Euroleague in past seasons in that same arena. So it has to be bigger than that.
