NCAA Season 100

  • Thread starter Thread starter Silent Killer2
  • Start date Start date
Except most of the guys you named there were born and raised in the philippines. Mga promdi pa nga eh. Thomas Reid is coming from the states.

Technically still Fil-Foreigners, the only difference is the place they grew up in. That's why you will never hear them complain about Beda's or any other school's Fil-Foreigner recruits because to them, they are still Pinoys and deserving of a spot in the NCAA.

Technically sure but only having a foreigner dad made them fil foreign. The fact they grew up here in the country already makes them full blooded in my book. Are you sure they never complained with the filfors, didnt they say lots of things when the semerads played for beda? Or recently lang lets go with kwekuteye. Lets not pretend letran was one of the teams that made the "all filipino" term famous.

They have no problems with fil-foreigners playing in the NCAA, there's Willie Miller, Joe Edwards, Ted McKinney, Nap Santos, Felix Apreku and Edward Olotu who previously played for Letran.

You just read that from the comments section of the article. Lol

Here are other Fil-Foreigners I recall from the Knights. Will Johnson of the 1987 Letran NCAA Champion team. He hails from Southern Cali. Billy Moody of the 1998 Letran NCAA Champion team. He has an American grandfather. And Darryl Singontiko of the 2014 Letran team. He’s from LA.

According to people close to Mur. Alao sent feelers to San Beda for a possible return. But RL PG position is stacked til S101. In time for the graduating Kirk Canete. IMO he should head to UP or UST where there is need for additional PG.

Funny, but Alao has been with DLSU since the pandemic years. He has been languishing with its Team B for 2 seasons now and from the looks of it, incoming rookies Ethan Alian and Matthew Rubico may have the inside track to get that pg position for Season 87. Either Alao will be the 3rd string pg or he will languish for a 3rd straight year in Team B. Then in Season 88, these 2 youngsters will give way to KEan Baclaan and Jacob Cortez. Such a bummer.

That's on your book but the fact remains that they still have foreign genes. Also no, they did not say a lot of things when the Semerads played for beda, what you will hear a lot about during that time is against Daniel. Last, no one is pretending that letran made "all filipino" term famous, they were only proud of having an "all-filipino team with a mix of fil-foreigners here and there" but never claimed anything.

Haha not just my book but every letranite as well, kaya nga sila kinuha eh and they got no qualms about since they were raised here. Surely you must have never been in a game live since they also targeted the semerads loud and proud pa. Lmao at "all filipino team with a mix of fil foreigner here and there", thats too long to be printed on a shirt. Never claimed my ass, thats their battle cry pa nga diba. They were against imports yet they got Reid which is one that just happened to have filipino blood haha.

Believe what you want there's no point in arguing with you anyway since you're too fixated on seeing the letranites on a certain POV lol and to make it clear mr. never claimed my ass, the basis for them seeing if you're good to play in the NCAA is for you to have filipino blood, they won't care if you grew up in tahiti or somewhere in zambia just as long as you have that "precious" pinoy blood

Funny how guys like you have to be all defensive, I'm not even fixated on anything lmao, its not my fault letranites keep being petty wether live on the venue or on social media hahaha. Yeah theres nothing wrong with that, except when beda was beating letran with fsa and filfors they keep saying "all filipino" dapat, as in literally all filipino blood, kahit guys like kwekuteye they keep shooting bawal import lmao, now that they beat you without one biglang kukuha ng prominent na filfor haha. Then stop arguing and being self absorbed, just accept the hypocrisy your beloved letran has.

How's Alao these days? He looked overweight and slow the last time I saw him play. No way he's getting more minutes over Baclaan and Cortez if he's still not in shape.

I remember when Alao was still in HS many where wondering if he will stay. Asked Manu, team managers and said it’s up to the RLs. When Mur was asked he said he wants to stay. But the dad was already telling his friends Mur will be Taft bound.

Alao came from Red Cubs HS Class of 2022 which included Mike Mara (CSB), Edson Serrano (CSB), Josh Cajucom (CSB), Nathan Victoria (CSB) and James Payosing (SBU).

johnson has zero pinoy blood, he is 100% white american

the rumored letran transferees jun roque, carlo ferreras and sonny estil are listed on pampanga mpbl roster.

so sbu's season 100 lineup is basically a feu + up + ust rejects affair

What an ignoramus. :D

The FEU players were not rejects. Sajonia was a starter for the FEU Tamaraws before he transferred to San Beda due to coaching change. Celzo was C2 and the import was C1. Soncuya was pirated by FEU from NU in the offseason but he moved to San Beda before he could be lined up.

Lina and RC Calimag were in the UP roster and are definitely not rejects.

Ricci Calimag was very much wanted in UST but the opportunity to play with his big brother happened in SBU that's why he transferred. All arranged by their father Ricky Calimag who is a former Red Lion.

And following your twisted logic, DLSU got San Beda rejects? :D:D:D

so letran's lineup basically are ust, perpetual rejects? anyway they couldn't have won their last championship without uaap 'rejects'

Doesn’t Letran view FSAs as mercenaries? Aren’t DELTA boys mercenaries too? Lol
