I am really happy for the fans more than the team.. after the last crazy years we had at last we come together for one goal.. keeping politics and sectarian differences aside!!
 
you know it's not just about one wrong call from the referee, nobody is saying that the last call on Rony is what caused us the loss, but i am rather discussing the tens of wrong calls throughout the whole game, it's true we were unlucky on 3 pts and we rushed many shots but our team showed the best performance in years. So if beating China in any Asian championship is a taboo then why the heck do we bother and play these championships, even ghayath and the commentators on Aljazeera who are not Lebanese also said that the referees caused us the loss... Nobody is acting childish or trying to find excuses, i would have been more satisfied had we lost by 30 points, but unfairness is hurtful..

even the american commentator said that the foul called against roni isn't true
but this event made me more proud to be lebanese,we have a big heart,we have achievements in all fields,we are simply lebanese
 
From a 3rd party perspective on the fouls called today.

Plenty of calls were going both ways through out the game. There were questionable early against China and late against Lebanon. Its international refs, seen it called against the U.S teams too. So really its not unexpected. As for the last shot, on the 3 pter, when you reach in on his elbows the refs are going to call it 90% of the time, same here in the NBA.

When you Lebanese arguing the last 3pt foul, why don't you review the videotape.The scene played nearly every matches in NBA games,and then,thinking of why your players didn't score after that traveling foul at last 1min but referee didn't call.This referee do have a lot of wrong calls, but half benefits you and the other benefit us.

I think we all had the oppotunities to win the semi final, but you didn't catch it. wish your team good luck next game

what a bullshit....whenever vroman penetrates and eat 10 punches and scores no foul is given....when this wang z z enters under the basket without anyone touching he gets 2 points and a foul ...and u guy talking about the travel didnt u see also when ur player hugged matt freije for the offensive rebound and scored??????
what a bullshit remember marketing...china out of world cup??? definitely not an option....

hello my friends ,it was so close to change history and make new one,this uzbekistanian referee ganiev ravshan killed us,the players now are recovering physically and mentally for tomorw game,nchallah kheir!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
Why do you keep on saying that the true finals is between the Lebanon and Jordan teams? Did iran cheat or something and they you think dont deserve to win?

Where do we go from here?

Have to say i'm really worried, we need that WC spot, desperately. There are no sponsors, nobody seems to want to pay and we seem to be focusing on imports too much. El Khatib, Fahed are looking terrible(Khatib more so), the Golden Generation of Lebanese basketball is coming to an end and i honestly can't see a way forward.

I hope i'm wrong, but i think it's all going downhill from here.
 
How is ur youth team? A Top notch team should always have a somewhat decent back up system, i haven't found any information about LIB's youth team online.

to me fadi elkhatib should retire,he's not anymore that tiger,he is a leader,he led us to the loss
go home,u're not even suitable to play in the lebanese clubs
 
I want to congrat Jordan for qualifying for the world championship for the 1st time in their history, they deserve it.

As for us, after our yesterday's loss, I was expecting our team to be affected morally and physically.

As we can notice, winning the title seemed to be more important for the players than qualify for the WBC.

Our team will come back in 2 yrs, stronger than ever, where I believe we will finally be able to win the title and go to the Olympics.

Now that the championship is over, I'm going to leave the forum for a good time.

Thx for those who supported us. And for those who didn't, well, it is the last of my concerns.

See you in the Olympics!

i hope not ! i think such a loss is like a slap for the federation to start working on training programms for our nt more training tournaments
look at the jordanians they were well prepared
we have the players but not the gd chemistry
further more we were hit mentally when china won by cheating

We didn't cheat. We didn't mean to and we carried out no direct effort interfering the Ref. They did bad job. I wish we play again with better Ref.
By the way, if you have no sponsors for international basketball games at any time, always think about finding some from China, we have a bunch of them who want to spare some money abroad.

our young prospects are very talented and i mean loads specially ahmed ibrahim who plays wed patterson tigers in the states
(he was born in lebanon) and many others we r worry about our senior NT cuz u know fady is done i think but he still can give (not now may be next season) the only player who is old is brian beshara (32 YO) any way IMO we should change dragan Raca and every thing will be alright cuz dragan didn't use the players in the rit way .
