Yes, they can stop him.
If they don't give the letter of clearence he cannot play.
Problem is that Akindele broke unilaterally the contract claiming upaid salaries.
caserta said that all is ok.
FIBA will rule about that (but I don't know when).

Please, let me know if he plays :)

According to Caserta, they denied to the player the LOC.
Fiba will rule on it.
If Akindele plays, means that Caserta gave him the clearance to play

I'm sure you can notice how the Lebanese league has tremendously improved this year whether it's with the level of coaches being signed (Subotic, Lardo, Choulet) and with many of the foreign players who are coming from high level leagues to play in Lebanon especially with the amount of money being spent and the big budgets of the top teams.

About Akindele, this morning I checked the boxscore of the game and I saw that he did not play.

I just read now that if you want to consider the hotel he will be staying at and car that he will be given the total contract would actually be closer to 100K/month.

Yeah this is great news for the Lebanese league! I just wish the Lebanese NT would get as much attention cuz unfortunately no one is caring about the Lebanese NT these last couple of years from the Lebanese federation.

Gazara you should add that the legendary Ghassan Sarkis forcing Fadi El-Khatib not to participate, because him and his son didn't get enough votes. How professional from a coach that i had a lil respect left towards him (now it's gone). Fadi's claiming a back injury now. I bet if it was a game vs Sagesse or Riyadi he would have been 100% ready. Simply the fans don't deserve to have fun because of politics and personal ego's are more important in this place.

Coaches shouldn't have to be voted. Imo the best two coaches should be the best two ranked teams from one area. It should have been Subotic vs Cholet. But of course we have our own rules.
