@ Trifilli :) (As you can see I am easily amused)

Okay, whoa. :) Hold it right there. :) You say you are on a team? Who the heck are you, big guy? What team? Who's the US guy on your team?

Please feel free to tell me to mind my own business. :D I can do that pretty well even though I may have just ruined that perception. :D

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))))

Next, 1st things 1st - It will be better if you ask about Ohio State rather than Ohio because there is another college in the state who goes by that name. (See some of the difference in their team colors above) There's a difference and if you ever need to differentiate them it will prove a big help.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((())))))))))))))))))))))

You are correct in assuming it will be easier to find games with Ohio State in them as opposed to those featuring Wyoming. All conferences, though, have found their way onto a sports channel named ESPN here in North America, which I seem to think has a presence throughout the world with individualized networks in the major different areas. ESPN Europe, maybe? However, I don't think the worldwide networks would readily televise US collegiate games. So from that area on then look for the US versions of ESPN, ESPN2 , ESPN U and ESPN Classic. There should be a ton of games on there and I know the Mountain West Conference, of which Wyoming is a member, is regularly televised usually on late week night games, Eastern Standard Timezone.

Also, the network CBS (Central Broadasting System)is the home of the NCAA tournament and they show a bunch of games throughout the season. A lot of them are big televised games on the weekend.

I'll do some research and find out as much as I can as soon as I can to find answers concerning your questions. No problem. This weekend and midway through next week, though, I'll be on vacation, holiday, or whatever you call taking a break from work where you are. But as soon as I can figure it out I will. It shouldn't be too difficult to find out some information which may help locate games.

Rest assured, though, you should at least have a chance to see multiple Ohio State games throughout the season if US college games are picked up by the NASN network you mention. I'm unfamiliar w/NASN, though??? Anyway, Ohio State will have a large presence on televised games this season because of their recent success that is sure to keep up for the near future.

I believe there to be a possible chance for games to be picked up free online. In an effort to promote the technology, last year's NCAA tournament was free to the public. One needed to only sign in and grab a slot to see it that way. I'll check developments.

Do you know of what's called DirecTV? I do not know if it's world widespread or not but it is a satellite based broadcasting system and it picks up all sports for a fee in the US. It's just like a cable system. (There's another one called Dish TV.) I recieve US style college football and US college basketball. Many, many games are visible here. I live approximately 500 miles away from Columbus, Ohio, where Ohio State is located and can see every football and basketball game they play.

By the way, Florida dominated Ohio State in the title game, eh? But Greg Oden had his way and he was playing with a still healing hand. Wish he would stuck around at Ohio State this year. With Kosta Koufos and Greg oden on the same front line in US college basketball...that would have been sick (As the cool kids say here in the US :) ) Oden is very good. A freak athlete.

Cheers!

Lol :p I'm a SG/SF, but I'm just playing for a pretty bad amateur side - the times when I played competitive basketball/ for good clubs are over... don't have time to practise more than twice per week, I'd say that I'm way out of shape atm :p :D

Thanks a lot, it's appreciated :) Also thanks for all the other information, I'll try to use it to be able to watch more games of these colleges next season.

That would've been funny, Koufos playing at PF, next to Oden :D

Btw, Koufos just had a great first half vs. Latvia, with 18pts and 7rbds, despite being in foultrouble with two very early fouls. The game is still close though, let's see how he does in the 2nd half... :)

Way cool, my man. I like your good natured response.

I saw the Haltime score and just a few minutes ago saw the 3 point crack start to open for Greece to go ahead Koufos now with 25 and 10 I believe. C'mon guys!

83-73 final score, Koufos with 30pts, 13rbds and 3bs. He missed a lot of shots in the 4th Quarter though, most likely because he was tired. Good that other players (especially Giannopoulos) stepped up in that moment and ensured the win.

Alright! That's why it's a team game.

Catch you later Trifilli.

Yeah, it's not that 30/13 is bad (rather the opposite :p), but it's good to see once again that other players in this team step up when Koufos is not at his best any more/ tired (he played 36mins again today, more than every other player on the court).

So the Semifinal will be vs. Lithuania, they're the fav, but who knows, everything is possible in a knockout match. Koufos will face some real competition there with Motiejunas and Cepukaitis under the rim, this will be one of the key matchups. Hopefully he can get some support from our other big men in that game, even if only for having a short rest.

Challenges like the pair Motiejunas & Cepukaitis comprise are exactly what Kosta needs to get the most out of his experience in these type of games.

I'm very excited for the Greek U18 team and hope they can make the big plays as required against Latvia. I'm beyond excited Kosta has the chance to play in such a big tournament in his first go round w/teammates he may be playing with in similar situations for a very long time.

Go Greece!

Lithuania, not Latvia.

I haven't been able 2 c any of the games(I still hope that greek TV will discover this team even a bit late), but I heard today on the radio from a reporter that follows the team in Spain, that he preferred avoiding Lithuania in the semifinal because Lithuania is a real team and doesn't depend on star players like we do with Koufos.I hope he is proven wrong.

Oops, my bad, Arkadios on the Latvia for Lithuania mixup. I realized it after doing a little research on Motiejunas and Cepukaitis.

Go Greece!

Sorry for OT and also dont get it personal, but... Lithuania and Latvia is so many times mixed in international news (CNN or so lets say) that it made me laugh literally like "even here we are mixed up" :D

@ Zalgirinis - Hey, no problem - There is much for me to learn, I'm sure. Without mistakes...how do I do that? I will take nothing personal here and hope I am giving out nothing which will be taken personally from any of you who are posters here.

It is a privilege for me to be allowed to be a part of your board and I'll try very hard to treat it as such.:)

Varajeo is exactly the type of player opponent's hate and teammates love (except during practice, probably, though). He plays with Lebron James on the Cleveland Cavaliers and I've watched him more than few times. He can be a real pest and has the reputation of being a flopper in trying to draw charging fouls. I know his elbows are plenty sharp, too. He's a scrapper, that's for sure. I'm sorry to hear about damage done to Nikos. Is he okay now?

(((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))

Why did you dislike Bogut?

Nikos Zissis was lucky and he recoverd fast from his very serious injury which could have even effected his eye and his brain if things had been a little bit worse but still he lost the life time experience of playing in the world championship finals because of this stupid brasilian guy.

I have no detailed explanation why I dislike Bogut but the way he presented himself at the WC was not appealing to me. He always had a strange grimace in his face.

Russ its a good idea to see how Europe has grew up and how much high is the basketball that most of the teams in Euroleague play here.I would recommend you to follow Euroleague games with live broadcastings and torrents that some of the guys here offering like Rik.I think you will be a fan of the true game very soon.

@ fasoulaki,

No one likes to see another get hurt playing any game. I'm sorry for what Nikos lost out on and I don't condone what Anderson Varejao (sp.?) did and I hope it wasn't on purpose. If it was, then that's on Anderson and it shouldn't be. As well, he should know the saying "What goes around, comes around". Know what I'm saying?

On Bogut, yeah, I get that feeling sometimes, too, when viewing games where I don't know a whole lot about the players involved...especially those who don't play for my favorites or rivals or usual opponents. There's a kid coming out of the University of Florida to the NBA's Chicago Bulls named Joachim Noah (son of former French tennis player Yannick Noah) who I just don't like the looks of. And it's not just how he looks in general...it's his facial expressions and the few words I've heard him speak, too. Everything about him is like raking fingernails across a chalkboard to me...but he's a good player and I've got to give him that..hustles like crazy and is smart. He just rubs me the wrong way, Especially so  after his team beat mine twice in same season.

@ crazy green,

I am realizing I am much interested in learning about the basketball played in Europe and throughout the world. I joined here to keep an eye on Kosta but now see the opportunity to understand how the game is played here as an even greater objective.

There is no doubt your true game is the type I like moreso than the clear out one side and go one on one style the NBA uses. Same reason I enjoy the US college game moreso than the NBA. I'll watch college ball all day long any day but not so the NBA.

Yes, I hope to learn much here to broaden my understanding of the basketball played worldwide.

I'll seek & check out the bit torrent and live games you mention. It will be a treat. From one basketball nut to what seems ike many others...cheers to everyone until Wednesday...I'll be off line until then.

I wish Greek well in the U18 tourney and in the NT prep games.

does anyone how I can watch that small live screen box on skai.gr full screen??
