I just feel that i gotta give this guy some recognition...IMO he is the biggest and most quiet transfer "steal" of this summer and with such a low contract for his skills..From what ive seen so far and by the little ive seen from him while playing in Bamberg this guy is on the same level as DeColo and i would dare to say that i would take him over Nando if i could choose...
 
why didnt you start this thread last year?He was the same player,didnt he deserve recognition then?
 
it just proves you are a fanboy who has no idea about players except for the ones who play for your team.Strelnieks plays exactly the same way as he did in Bamberg for two years.His stats are almost identical,and he was paid way less in Germany.
 
Sorry that ive only saw him in the 2 games bamberg played against my team..Sorry that after seeing him in a couple of games this year ive made my opinion and wanted to share my thoughts and listen what others have to say...Boy oh boy...You must be fun at parties....
 
Comparing him with De Colo could not be more than a joke. He is nowhere near that standard. There is a class difference.
 
maybe standing against the tide a little, I also think Strelnieks is a great, under the radar type of player, from what I've seen in Bamberg and the Latvian NT. He was not better than DeColo, though, very few players are.
 
He doesn't have the skillset of De Colo and he obvisouly can't put his numbers and in any case I don't think that he deserves his own appreciation thread so early in the season. That said, he is probably the best Oly signing of last few years, and since you've made the thread:

He is a great player, I liked him from last year in the few games I saw him (sorry Koncak for not having a poster of Janis ;)) and would have loved to have him in Panathinaikos.

Generally I have a lot of respect for Latvian/Lithuanian players.

He is in my opinion not better than De Colo, but that does not mean that he does not contribute to Olympiakos success so far. Interesting to see how his role will be when Spanoulis return.
 
De colo is who he is, his salary is on the sky, clearly overpriced but who cares, the expectations for him are on the sky as well. On the other hand strelnieks is an excellent signing for Olympiacos, he comes from the bench, he can score a lot and he can assist a lot. Thats a combination of a 6th or 7th player that gives titles
 
My preffered point guard after Rodriguez and Sloukas .Typical European point guard which clubs shoul have in bigger quantity.
