man !
he knows basketball ... so in close games he can be a play maker
i mean he knows how to avoid double teams and ...
i know what r u talking about in lebonan and specially kuwait
but he can play in dif way
just look at his russian games or collegue

everyone says that about scorers.. that they selfish.. they say it about rasheim wright, fadi in lebanon, tarver.. thats there job.. and they do it well.. as for tarver he also led his team in assists in lebanon and in iran.. he also took blue stars to the final 4 in a year where they had a first time head coach and no budget... he was the only player that earned a good salary that year... the following year they didn't even qualify for the playoffs..so that says alot...

new player

That's why the next year they never re-signed him and none of the Lebanese team got him. He was a great scorer, and yea he is selfish in a different way from that of Rashim and Fadi they are top scorers while he is selfish and a bad decision maker, look at Fadi these days he penetrates but when he can't get a good shot he tries to find the open man, that's what Tarver lacks honestly the court vision. Basketball is not only about shooting no matter how much players are over you.
As for Blue Stars well they had the youngest team in the league and played a magnificent season last year, they were 5th but showed the best basketball in the country in terms of being systematic, committing to every word Coach Mindauguas had to say to them.
And by the way a lot of those young players shined last year for the first time and are starting now for many teams, just as 3 of them were called to the national team(2 among them for the first time, Jad Bitar playing now for Muttahed Tripoli and Rodrigue Akl playing now with Al Riyadi Beirut)

I think petrochimi's managers are stupid!!!
thet are going to sign with an other PF !
Marcus Melvin , Norman Nolan and Ejike are PF! I believe that they don't know the difference between Pf and C.

you actually agreed with me without even noticing it.. i'm not trying to get u to change your mind about anything u think how ever u think but when u say they had the youngest team in the league thats exactly right .. they did.. and they had that SAME team the year before...when they went to the final 4.. the reason why they system was better was because they had a COACH! a good one... and from what i heard they offered tarver back.. he didn't accept the offer.. and where else would he go? riyadi? they dont sign guards and in mouthead darren came back and sagesse usually doesn't sign a guard.. so unless he went to tebnine.. no one had the money.. u have to look at the facts

Look I am not trying to say he ain't good because he is. But Blue Stars played better without him, yes the coach had the biggest impact, but even the Import Guard they had (Nick Zachery) played a specific role on the court even sitting on the bench for some long periods of the game, not as Tarver used to do by getting all the shots he wanted, anyway we have to see Tarver playing with a systematic team more to be able to judge since with a non-systematic one he had an awful shot selection.
I would rather see a scorer playing off the ball and getting himself open shots threw a system or an off the ball screen then to just keep the ball in his hands for 20+ seconds before getting the shot and I believe that if Tarver had that option he would be able to score the same amount of points at least if not more but with better percentages and that would lead to more points for his team since the bad shots would not be there.

TRUE.. I AGREE with something u said.. but its not tarver fault about the system.. thats the coaches responsibilty to force on the team and the players.i believe tarver would like that as well.. for more screens and a better system but he again thats on the coach it would make it easier for him and his teammates.. . tarver and zach situation was a little different because he used to sit zach because they weren't getting along.. and as far as percentages he shot 53 percent in lebanon from his shots.. when zach shot only 40 percent but he does take some bad shots true.. but i have never seen an american player who scores as much as he does that doesn't take some bad shots.. i hope he plays in the tournaments this year so we will see him with some structure.. thanks ttyl

and there is a fact about his next year ... he had a very big offer from kuwait ... the money he got there is was really good ... he can't even earn that much in iran ... but the kuwait lwague is bullshit .... so ... i think u did not noticed my point about watch derrick games in russia and college and u can also watch his game against petroshimi where they double him all the match ... he can play as playmaker but as eugene said its his job to score

Jackson is high level player and he can play in PF really nice but, this year he plays average! if we look at his salary he is bad! we have player with lower salary who plays really beter than Jackson.

yes, I am completely agree with you, he must play better because he is very expensive ! as you said he is a high level player but he had an average (if not bad) season.

Round 18

Petrochimi 92 - Tozin 68
MVP: Norman Nolan 34pts

Gorgan 90 - Azad 75

AS Bond 91 - Shahrekord 83

Mahram 94 - Zob Ahan 92
Quarters: (25-22, 47-49, 76-70)

what a great match !!! but unfortunately Mahram won :( Mahram was lucky, Zob was the better side and they had the last shot but they missed it :( I believe Zob can win the league. Mahram is vulnerable.

Zob locals played very well. their imports were good but not great. Jackson Vroman had a nice game , Samad was nothing in the first half but he was great in the last minutes.

topscorers:

Vroman 26
Samad 24
Afagh 17 (5 of 11 3s)
Kamrani 12

Wright 26
Sahakian 19 (Oshin was the MVP, IMO)
Baheran 19 (5 of 7 3s)!!
Garnett 15

agree with u
but it depends on what kind of players they will add for play offs
zobahan gonna add a great one ... decide between 2 very top player
petro wasting the time and money
so
i think zob ahan has more chance to beat mahram and i wanna see farzad to be success

maybe ! but their latest results are not that good ! they lost to D.Azad and beat AS pipe narrowly. but the ball is round and everything is possible !

yes, Zob is obviously the second best team in the league but we still can't underestimate Petrochimi at all. they have the potential to be a champion but they always lose to their own unprofessionalism !
