the guys overachieve(when is the last time a team without their star players and some mainstay from last year) and they are still sad:confused: Yes they have shot at the gold but it would really shock asia if they really win it all. Without Iran's Big three:D it prove that their pool is very deep

overachieve ? no I don't think so, only China (and maybe Korea) was supposed to be stronger than this incomplete Iran team in this tournament, so the 3rd place finish is an expected result. BUT after the games they aren't happy with bronze because they saw that China wasn't stronger at all and they lost to their own mistakes in the last 3 minutes ! (when Iran lost a 7pts lead)

also they are still sad because of the officiating (that's what all of them are saying to Iranian media) they still think the referees stole their gold !

Unlike the 2004 and 2008 junior events in Iran, video of this game is easily found. Show me where the wrong calls are.

What Oshin's last shot you all talk about? When Afagh threw that prayer the clock was already 0:00

and unlike 2010 Junior champs in Yemen when the refs called a phantom foul on grandpa Guo Ailun at the decisive time and gifted him 3 FTs.

2004 ? didn't you find anything better ? what about 1974 Asian Games in Tehran ??

in 2004, your team easily crushed, destroyed and ate by the Iranian team and lost by 25pts (a very big margin) in a pached Azadi stadium, we had no youtube 6 years ago, but you can watch 2009 Asian Final instead, the same story. Iran made a big lead in the 1st Q and ...

in 2008, your stupid coach (I can't find any word better to describe him) left the court in match against Syria beacuse of a filipino referee and the same filipino referee almost killed the Iranian team in the semifinal against the same Syria. learn it, you lost to your own stupid coach, not anyone else. show me the video of Iran-Uzbekistan (Asian Champs 2009) and Iran-India (Asian Games 2010), you can't find it since the Chinese organizers didn't broadcast these games. and these are senior tournaments. so why Iranian must care about a match between China U23 and Syria U23 in Asian U18 Championship ?

who talked about the last calls ? watch the game and you can find some questionable calls during the match (especially first half), TF on Amini, Davari's early foul trouble, many fouls on Afagh and etc. Iran had many problems with the filipino and Uzbek refs, oh guess who is this Uzbek referee, your old friend Ravshan Ganiev !

at the end, personally I don't think we lost to the refs or China NT, we lost to our own mistakes and 4 or 5 calls in favor of the host (especially China) is just normal but please don't tell me that the officiating was completely fair. we had many problems with the officiating in whole tournament, especially against Japan and Chinese Taipei in the first round.

BUT IRIBF and players are saying that we lost to the referees, I'm just writing what they said. (also the Iranian delegation are angry because the organizers didn't let the Iranian team to train even a minute in the main stadium and they saw the stadium for the first time in the semifinal game)

Matic's contract

Matic's contract

Reza Mashhoun was on TV, and he said that the Iranian basketball federation would like to extend Matic's contract (it will end soon or has already ended). He said that Matic will probably stay with us (80%). he also said that one of the positive things about Matic is that he has a very good relationship with the players and that he cares a lot about the team.

Actually you can pause it at 1.03 and it has still left his hand common. Whats the point of winning if everyone knows you cheat.

Here are classical examples of bad officiating "cheating" by china

Asian Cup 04
Olympics 08
FIBA 09.

I will like to thank China for posting the videos in such great quality however.

it's a very good news, honestly I can't remember the last coach who worked 2 years or more with our "Team Melli", and it's really bad ! actually we changed our coach year to year and sometimes month to month !

Matic is a good coach and a good person (unlike his compatriots Trajkovic, Bosnjak and Toroman) I confess I wasn't optimist at all but he proved me wrong.

Today is 28th December, let's not forget him. :(
