May tae sa pwet/may daga sa dibdib - A term given to a PBA player who played very well under PBA rules but struggles/ having a hard time under fiba rules.:cool:
 
My favorite was Sumakay kapa... I think Noli or Ed Picson Popularized this one...
 
"nangungulangot na lang nakakuha pa ng rebound"- the guy got the loose ball - I believe this was Chris Tiu's term

High Road- A term use by posters in the Philippine thread. It means being honorable and respectful to the other members of the thread.

Other meaning if use inappropriately.

High Road- In literal sense you will go to a High Road so that you can pee much higher that the rest of the posters. ( Pataasan ng IHI)

"iyakin" - a player who complains a lot like yes, James Yap :D :D joke only hehe
 
Salaksak - driving inside/slashing through.

Kalawit - using 1 hand pulling down rebound

Nangalabaw - using wide experience with force.

Araro - driving with brute force (ala Nelson Asaytono)

Binitbit - driving carrying the ball on 1 hand (ala Samboy Lim)

Ringless - field goal made hitting only the net.

Balik Pamato or Pato - shot block

Tapal - shot block
 
Not sure if you're familiar with it but we use the term "isang byahe" for those who get the rebound and doesn't care whether he has another teammate ahead of him. He'll just dribble and take the ball straight to their hoop. Another term is "may tapaojo", like the horses at the race. Their eyes are covered on the sides. Diretso lang ang tingin. :D
 
Lista mo na - automatic field goal even while still attempting to shoot...porma pa lang shoot na....
 
May Nana sa Kamay. = Mga players na pinapasahan pero palagi nabibitawan ang bola.

74 (seventy-four)-- the magic number a team has to hold its opponents under in order for it to be considered worthy of respect. Use is exclusive to IBN-PH board posters.
 
Tahong - matured, experienced, or advanced for the playing level.
Paros - beginner, inexperienced and or outclassed.
Winakali - a left handed shot from a regular righty.
Babad - over-abundance in playing time.
Larong matanda - ancient basketball style, primarily consisted of a steady dose of dirty plays to go with bicycle lay ups and two-handed set shots.
Buhat - a power move under the basket scoring despite being blocked.
Inararo - charging against a solid defensive set under the basket resulting in a score or being assessed an offensive foul.
Binaboy - a sky walker inspired twisting shot that went haywire where an easy lay in could have appropriately done the job.
Bale - Twisting
