hugot - may refer to a player from foreign land or foreign league. Foreign, meaning it is from another district or town or school. Hugot are used to reinforce the local team; reinforcement. Hugot may also refer to when the coach making substitution. A player coming off the bench is a hugot. "Hinugot na ni coach ang huli nyang baraha" trans: "coach had just drew(or used) his last card(hope)" lolers

Itlogan or Itlugan - to hit the other player where it hurts the most.. Asi Taulava was 'naitlugan/initlugan' by the Malaysian player.
 
Pakingshet - The unforgettable semi final game of the Philippines vs South Korea in 2002 Busan Asian games. Pakingshet in english is "f*ckin' sh*t". The word "pakingshet!" was uttered by each and every Filipino after Lee Sang-Min made the buzzer-beating 3point shot that continuously haunts the Philippines even up to this time. At present that game is called the Pakingshet game. And pakingshet is still used to describe a likely scenario of a heart breaking game. "south korea again in a knockout game?! pakingshet!"


palobo - an extremely high arcing shot, usually awkward looking.
 
nangitlog/nangingitlog - a term use when a player is staying for 3 secs or more inside the shaded lane.

good example of the palobo shot is topex robinson.. LoL he got so much palobo in his shot ... XD
 
Pasabit - Foul baiting expedition..

Blanka - Another word for a block shot

Pinanis / Binastos - Refers to dunking on an opponent or doing an acrobatic shot with the defender all over you and you still score..

Joey Boy - A dunk that is short, like half of the ball just hits the ring and you fell to your ass or a jump shot that didnt even make it on to the ring..

Nagsarili / Nalulod - An erratic move when a player doesnt know what to do with the ball and just tries to score and nothing happened, perhaps he got injured after the shot by hitting the ground hard..

nag kape pa sa ere - a term used by the 90's commentator of the PBa for the acrobatic moves of Vergel meneses.
 
supot - literal translation = uncircumcised. Failed to hit the target; Supot may either be 'joey boy'(see joey boy) or 'kapos'(see kapos).
 
asawahin - to guard the scorer of the opponent all the time and not let him get the ball. (like dikit na dikit, body to body, ches to ches, nose to nose, fes to fes). :D

dukot - sort of a reverse lay-up deep under the basket. Something like that.

tinira - pa-simpleng nudge inflicting some pain.

birthday - having a good shooting day. "Birthday mo ngayon no? lahat ng binabato mo nag-sh-shoot!"

dinadaga - kinakabahan/similar to stage fright. Evident in leagues.
