Greece 11 p ahead in HT. A rather "normal" outcome, although I don't think it was as easy as it shows. Greek defense improved in 2nd period, but - like I said - I think their offensive game still needs some tweaking. There's good ball movement around, but besides some semi-free 3p shot opportunities, it doesn't really create any situation inside the paint. There were couple of nice efforts above the rim with Fotsis, but I think what the Greek game lacks offensively is more off-the-ball movement. If you've noticed, in many occasions they start with the PG on top and the 4 players spread and static in the 4 corners.

The greek commentators:
We are playing a lot better than we did versus Spain.

Really?????

Really, Greece should kick Sofo out of the team. EVERYTIME he comes in they bringt the opponent back in the game.

Imagine if the Greeks could actually defend the perimter...this game would be all over.

It is now OFFICIAL. Greece is suffering against good zone but they are wonderful in open play. They are suited for USA but not Spain. Germany play better than what I thought. They are a match for any team if a bit lucky. They have evolved their game to 3p shots (they are fab on that) or in the paint.

they aren't letting about a hundred greek fans to get inside the arena because they have drums

Is there any channel in internet for watching the game with fullscreen?

Spanoulis really is a talented FIBA isolation player. Beautiful move he had a couple plays ago.

And Germany should kick Kaman out of the team. He is awful!!!

He's playing awful. Kaman can't figure out how to be effective against the Greek defense and the guards are doing a terrible job of getting him the ball. He's being forced to dribble way too much, which is not his game at all. At the very least he should be trying to snatch every offensive rebound available.

Glyniadakis is my hero :D

He kicks a$$ ;)

I think the Greek offensive game has improved. Yiannakis must be reading this forum during the breaks

The Cypriot channel RIK Sat has it. Just found it.

I have to say. I was wrong about Glyniadakis. If he continues playing like that, I believe he could be the inside presence we need, for certain plays.

Anyone else surprised by Yiannakis's use of Glyniadakis???

A very nice suprise indeed!!! But what is going on with Printezis???? Is he suppose to be a kind of secret weapon???

Actually I think it was an unsportsmanlike foul by nowitzki against Glyniadakis. Afterwards, Tsartsaris got in Nowitzki's face. Superstar or no superstar...

Vasilopoulos has done an amazing job on the defensive end.

Yiannakis thinks the game is over; he put Printezis in :D

EDIT: and the way he's playing, he'll be out again soon

Reason why Germany is losing is all small guys. PG is playing just awfull... run, run, run... "climb to the tree" ant the try to score against 4-6 hands or pass somewhere hopeing any teammate will cath the ball...
No game control, no passing for big guys on the paint... nothing...
Most of atacks has no more that 2-3 passes...
Same for kaman or nowitzki... gets the ball on the paint, shoots doesnt matter what is the situation, how many opened players are or how many defenders around him...just shooting from awfull positions hoping the ball will get in...

And i thought Dirk Bauermann was one of the best coaches in Europe...
