It is said that he will play today against New Zealand. Hopefully, he will be able to dance sirtaki without being in pain.;)

Yes the initial rumor spread by Pantelis Diamantopoulos that Thanasis hurt his knee was wrong. It was "only" a strain in the adductor.

It will be a tough game today. It will be close because the Kiwis will fight. I am wondering who will step-up to help Greece.

I guess Larentzakis will try, Walkup will deliver. I am wondering how Rogkavopoulos will face the pressure. I hope that Papapetrou will play at least at the same level as in the last two games and I think it is time for Papanikolaou to wake up. If he wants to be a captain of this team now it is time.

Someone needs to do it. It is a really important game, we need to fight till the end if we want this journey to continue.
I believe we don't have many chances at the next phase, at least we should advance to it.

We can not expect anything more from Greece. Anything beyond this is a bonus. The primary goal for Greece is to qualify for the OQT.

The team did well. We made it to the second round and have the opportunity to play two very good teams.

Also, some players have grown in this tournament. Larentzakis as primary guard and Lountzis are gaining valuable experience.

Rogkavopoulos has been consistent.

Some of the other players had already proven that they are on a certain level.

That said, our opponents, especially Lithuania, are very good. And we remain to have crucial absentees in the paint.

From now on, we can only talk about overachievement.

I agree completely.

Rogkavopoulos unfortunately has not delivered in this game. He is not ready yet to carry the team on his shoulders but maybe he will in future.

Overachieving feels always better than underperforming.

We got the expected outcome but they really fought until the 3rd quarter. You could not expect more from them than that with so little talent as a team. Congratulation for beeing there and represnting the country.

Expected way more of Papagiannis. He had just one rebound in mid of the third quarter. He is a soft ass. Defense is shit and offense too.

Indeed. He spent the whole tournament trying to hide his weaknesses by denying passes and not taking shots, but everything came to light in the last game.

Its time for Papanikolaou to retire...

This is a little bit unfair. Because his wife just gave birth to their second daughter and if I remember how I felt after each birth I am pretty sure that he was not on his mental high in this tournament.

He shouldnt have come playing then. He damaged more than he helped.
