We have many good wingmen here from duremdes, to seigle, to Yap to Maliksi, to the future guys Ferrer et. al..

In Asian level..

Ravena is a swingman right? What's he up to nowadays. There's no way he's unseating our current top pgs so might as well pair him up with a tall ballhandler and let him play his natural position.

Too short at 6'1. And he's already a shoo-in for top point guard which we are lacking.

we'll see how ferrer, ravena and others will fare up against non seaba teams in jones cup.

As for "upgrading" the size of our players particulary the wings and guard positions, I'm curious if the SBP has any concrete plans/solutions. We can't use the age old excuse that we dont have players with size in those positions since we definitely have 6'2-6'6 players.

Does anyone know if the younger Esplana has what it takes to play the point?

Danny Ildefonso is Kai's coach. Good luck with that.
No offense to him or his knowledge as a skills coach but the back-to-the-basket big man is already considered obsolete in the NBA and was never in fashion in international competitions. I just hope the kid gets proper guidance as far as his development is concerned. Sana kahit poor man's Kukoc man lang when it comes to offense

I'm curious how they'll fare against teams with size like India and middle Eatern teams or teams with athletic Africans (Qatar). Can they find ways to win even without a naturalized players (like Blatche or Mo).

Actually back to the basket gaem is what is missing in the game today that is why offenses are so limited this days. The era today will be killed by the 90's era basketball fi they face each other today. And for our county, we don't need a Kristap Porzingis, what we need is like a Hassan Whiteside presence or better yet a Aldridge type of player, a good post player with reboundign and defensive capability. I'm happy that Kai is being trained by a powerforward with a medium range shooting like Idelfonso. He will be a better low post player and with range and stronger.
