Do you remember the precedent I was talking about, regarding the international ice-skating union and the formal investigation by the European Commission?
Well, check this out - it came out yesterday:
http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-16-3201_en.htm
It's not final, but it's a very important preliminary ruling. They are actually inviting the ISU to fight a last-ditch battle, with almost zero chances of changing the verdict.
This preliminary view is a huge, huge warning sign for FIBA. Why would FIBA's case be any different?
Interesting indeed with the EU-statement to ISU. That case does look familiar with the "FIBA vs ECA" and I have seen that you have posted similar posts about this before.
However, as I read it, it is only a statement, and nothing has been decided, but it does seem to indicate that ISU is violating European antitrust laws out of self-interest. I would guess that's what ECA's claims FIBA is doing too.
