quiet days from greek teams but now i read that maybe we want Begic, wow that would be a really good player to sign, he is a free agent and real wants to cut his salary to 700k
thats still a lot of money, dont see how Olympiakos will offer him more then that seeing that we want to lower our budget.

David Logan agreed with Alba

Good choice for him.

- About Eliyahu to Hapoel, nothing published on media today, but there are people on Hapoel's forum that says that the deal is closed.
Hapoel just got new american owners, so it's sounds realistic that they will want to debut in a "splash".

I personally want to see him out from Maccabi,

but i can't understand his point of view, i'm sure he could have similar or better contract around Europe in a competitive team

Favorites for Final4 ιn your opinion? ok i know ιt's early but until know.
the favorites teams for quarter-final are Olympiacos,Panathinaikos,Cska,Real,Barcelona, fener,Galata,Efes,Maccabi,Laboral,Milano
In my opinion Real, Olympiacos(if sign a very good Center), Panathinaikos and Cska is the first favorites for f4 and next barcelona and fener

I assume that you consider Fenerbahce as a favorite because of Obradovic. But I believe that it is to early for now talking about for f4, even f8 for us. We still dont know the rooster and existing one may be ok for top16 but not enough for this level (f4-f8)

first good new since long time. unfortunatly we d need at least 5-6 more news

surely early except about the final and the winner
2014 final cska fener
cska champ
very easy

Don't worry, the Obradovic mafia will push Fener to the Final 4.

QUOTE=Idans10;826727]. I don't think that the strength of the league will effects his performance in a better/worse league.[/QUOTE]

Ofcourse league strength plays a role, hopson averaged 17 ppg in the israeli league.Do you expect he would score 17 ppg in the NBA or the EL?That;s common sense.

IMO ,there isn't even one European league that is great indicator for high level success axcept from Spanish league.

You must understand that financialy, Israeli teams have to gamble on young players, so you can see those players succeed just 2-3 years later in most cases.

Here's a list from last years Israeli league (Players that hasn't made their breakthrough before Israeli league)

Jeremy Pargo
Alex Tyus
Shawn James
Briant Dunston
Marcus Sloter
Doron Perkins
Dionte Christmas
D'eor fisher
Hopson

That is not bad for the low-budget Israeli league.

Well janos answerd adequately for me.I was meaning going from IL immediately to a EL.
Dunston had a very good year in israel but then went to Varese and he proved that he is ready for the highest level there too. Going straight from IL to EL is much more risky for a team.I exclude of course Maccabi which is a very good EL team.

You are right except for one thing, the most important...
Efes doesn't have good centers. That was the main problem last year and will be this year. I don't know what is Efes goal this season, maybe F16 only, but for bigger ambitions they need more solid frontcourt then tandem Erden-Barac.

Efes problems I think is mainly their coach and poor choices in foreign players(there isn't a huge talent pooll of turkish players).Machmudi is way overrated.
First if he is not good at handling stars he should not be coaching Efes he should be coaching a mid-level TBL team. Second tactically i'm not a fan of his choices from his poor defencive schemes to his offencive sets.I think his results are generally disapponinting with the talent he had in his various teams. And if you don't believe me watch how he will be outcoached regularly by obradovic and itoudis this season. As for foreign players their track record is pretty poor and I agree for barac he sould be demoted to sixth foreign player only for EL and Efes should bring an athletic defencive center.

You didn't understand my intention. I meant regarding the Israeli & the Turkish league. They aren't that different and Hopson can score the same average or close in a club like Efes in the Turkish league and yes, he can also score 12-13 points per game in the EL. The guy is a scorer and he's very talented. SO either he plays Israel, Turley or EL, and as long as he'll be one of the main players, he'll get to his average. That's common sense as well.

To me Erden is one of the most talented centers in Euroleague,he didn't prove that last year at all, only in some of the play-off games against Oly but personally I bet that Efes can still count on him.Don't forget it was his 1st year back in Europe. To me most important for Anadolu is to sign a good athletic PF,with both offensive and defensive qualities of course because Erden is not a player who can create his shot. But with signing a pretty good 4-5,the frontcourt will be one of the strongest in Euroleague no doubt!

Now a question for Galata fans,I see that last season Macvan begun quite well and then disappeared, why this happened you think, was he that bad? It's sad to see a talent and a fundamentally-player like him not growing to a high level player...

About Hopson,me as well didn't have the chance to watch him in Greece and his stats were mediorce here in a mediocre team. But I'm pretty sure kukulas has more to say about him :)

I think that a smart guy can avoid to have a worse team every year

if kerejeta have a football team paying the debts, baskonia would win 90% spanish leagues.

and this season baskonia could have better team, hodge or hanga are very good signings.

But they are unknowns for top level. Hanga played in one of the worst ACB teams. Remember what happened with Joe ingles. he did really good stats in granada and he had 3 bad seasons in barcelona.

I agree that Mahmudi is overated coach.. When you want to be EL champion must have stars in the team, if coach doesn't know how with stars then he is mediocre coach for mediocre teams..

I am not Galatasaray fan, but you know that Ataman factor is the main reason Macvan is in second plan and Ersin Dudly is first pf.
