I think the special thing about Maccabi is that we can make players great and develop them to be top European players..
Unfortunately not everyone have that ability

really? which player is this exactly? I dont remember such player except from Casspi, the others were already good players when they signed with MTA (Vujcic, Morris, Saras, Jasaitis, Eidson, Anderson, Parker etc). Also everybody knows that Maccabi had success in the 2000's because of the foreign players they signed...

AND? I was talking about foreigners
Besides,it's one thing being a good player and it's a whole other thing making that extra step towards being great..
and although many players that Maccabi signed were good..they weren't great..
how many good players do you know that sign for a big club and fail? I personally can think of a few..

El Efes Pilsen también quiere a Stanko Barac. Las alternativas son D'or Fischer, Kaun o NDong - tubasket.com

Spanish friends could u translate?

Of course, but I don't remember any top players that are huge fails (by top players I mean like Saras, Parker, Bodiroga, Ginobili) if you don't sign them after 30-something like Efes usually does. And it's no secret that Maccabi won Euroleague titles not just because of "good players who are making an extra step" but already great players, but mainly because of Saras and Parker. Efes is now trying to do the samething.

All of them are good choices.
N'dong is the best, Kaun too.
Fiscer is doubtfull, he is not appearing at the money-time.
Barac is very good.

I would take:
1)Barac
2)Kaun
3)NDong
4)Fischer

I personally don't think Pargo would have become the great player he is today if it wasn't for Blatt..
I think the potential would have been there..but he wouldn't have taken that ''extra step''..and I do think Maccabi has something special when it comes to ''nameless'' players playing for Maccabi and achieving their full potential

Barac is under contract but baskonia said that they should sold 1 player between huertas-teleto-barac due to their economic problems

Pargo turned out to be a very good player but at the moment he hasn't shown enough skills/efforts or whtvr it is that takes to be compared to the players I have mentioned above. But I was expecting he would grow to be a good player, I guess because of his brother. That's why I got jelous last summer when MTA signed him.

Oh really?:p We were mourning after his signing:p
(most of us)

I hope the Spanoulis/Barca rumors are not true. Otherwise, we will expect a lot of Barca homerism from FIBA Europe Basket.
Of course it's not true. In Barca, they are not idiots

But, yes. We all hope it is true. Such a sign would mean that Caja Laboral could contend again for the championship, even if we kept the duo of Ivanovic-Teletovic and we might even let Barac go :D

There are not many teams in which Pargo would be successful except Maccabi.

I am afraid Barać's new team will be dissapointed. No matter how I look at him, I keep considering him as a defensive liability. Or was it Tau (the team) that made him look like that? I personaly go with the first choice.

I think De Colo will come Galatasaray this week. ;)

And tubasket's news is quotation. Source is burnovic.blogspot.com. I wrote this today.
