Beverley replaces Halperin in the Greek league for Oly. I did not understand if just for today or for the season

The salary isn't very hight about 300.000 but the problem is that he is a center very small (2'03) but with his good season than more than one ACB team will offer a better contract.

He is on Maccabi's watchlist. I like him, seems like a great prospect.

For the rest of the regular season, which means for 4 games...
Giannakis will consider again before the beginning of the Greek playoffs, if he will put Halperin again in the team.

Bjelica missing only two things...bit more deadley shoot and nastynes but he is one of rare natrual tallents who can have great carer without that nastynes like Kukoc (and Bijelica is only one realy who reminds on him) back in days...anway he deserves top euroleage clubs and freedom in creation especialy next year when rules will change when talent and individuality will have more efect on game...it would be shame for euro bb to be cut out from watching that kind of natrual "artistic" talent

I'm not sure would he fit in Barca style where he could be bit lost like Lorbek this year who isn't used in best way for him...probabley Vesely would fit better for them...for Bijelica best options by my opinion would be Real, CSK, Maccabi or Caja if some things like coaches or coaches tactics don't change

goga i can't believe there isnt an israeli player, who is better than mekel

I'm not saying, there is no better Israeli player than Mekel (available). It's not a matter of believing, it's a matter of scouting. Can you throw in a couple of names? Until now, you dislike each and every Israeli player except Halperin, while Yotam alone is clearly not enough. Simple maths.

about magic night in siena and madrid compared with the magic partizan's night in tel aviv, well ,if u didn t understand how maccabi's roster this yera was worse than barca real siena kimki cska oly pana efes fener ok, i guess here is the main diff beetwen me and u.

Oh gosh! Barca is having a better roster than Maccabi this year! Surprise, surprise! Who else can match-up with the FCB?!
CSKA has no bench, Real has quality players that are not getting along with their coach. They have lost both games to Maccabi. Maaaaaaagic! Siena has shown signs of decline and is in no way better than Maccabi. They have three main weapons, McIntyre, Lavrinovic and Sato. The first two were taken out of the game by their MTA vis-a-vis, while Sato has been outplayed by Anderson. Ulker and Efes? Please! Big names from the past who have lost a step and are overpayed. Actually, Efes could perform better but not with their current coach. Khimki? Please! I see them every couple of weeks on TV. Lots of good names, no cohesive unit, biggest chokers of the season. PAO? OK, despite their result they have a strong roster. Strong but not balanced like FCB's. Olympiacos? Great roster, big money, not that good a coach. I don't see how those team's results or rosters have been better than Maccabi's, except for a few teams. Maccabi's roster is not perfect by any means but those teams you named (except for 2-3) have big deficiencies. I would make some changes at Maccabi but not that drastic ones. Besides, it's not about roster per se, it's about the team. Not teams on paper win games but actual sportsmen.

i wanna change 3 of 5 players who play more. i just stay with fischer and perkins. blutho is ok for the bench ,eidson too. no one more

MTA has been starting Wiz, Eidson, Anderson, Pnini and Lasme/Fischer in most of the games. You want five of those six out. If that is not the complete starting five...

last but not least.yes 33 y.o.players could play again till 35 or even 36 sure, but at this age they should play in smaller team than maccabi . there's no great team in world in any sport who would add 33 y.o.layers to get better. that is something done by small team hoping in last breath of those players.

Chicago Bulls have signed Dennis Rodman when he was 34.
Denver Nuggets have signed Chauncey Billups with 32.
Chicago Bulls has signed Michael Jordan for his first complete season after his retirement when he was 32.
Boston Celtics have signed Kevin Garnett with 31.
Panathinaikos has signed Sarunas Jasikevicius with 31.
BC Khimki have signed Kelly McCarthy with 31.
FC Barcelona has signed Gianluca Basile with 30.

Those are the guys off the top of my head. All of them were over 30 when signed by new teams, all of them were very important or leading players for their teams. Big teams (you consider Khimki to have a better roster than Maccabi).
A guy like Jasikevicius can get every qualitative team going and can be the difference maker. This player was the best man on PAO during their EL Final Four tournament a year ago. Sure, you can see him going to Azovmash Mariupol a year later. Players of that caliber like Saras and Nikola don't go to play for third-string teams at the end of their career. They won't win anything there, they won't make a last push for big money there (unlike some old soccer stars who chose to make some money in Bahrain, UAE etc. They finish their careers of very good or great teams with lesser roles. They could make MTA better in the short run but I doubt a two million investment being a good one for a team like Maccabi. Usually, Efes, Fener and Co. are getting older players for big money.

Perhaps it is to early for him to move to a club with high ambitions, a deep bench and a foreign country. I agree with you in all aspects, but it is definetly a huge step to change a midlevel EuroCup team for a very good one with high ambitions. If he gets his chance, some time and is needed like Tomic in Real everything will be fine, but what if he ends up like Vladimir Dasic for example?

He was born to play for Joventut. :)

Ok i'll stop dreaming. :(

Is there in Roma a rumor regarding Virtus which will make official tomorrow the signing of Rakocevic. Does someone how false is this news?
For me it is completely and fully false more than 100%. But I couldn't go to watch the game today between Efes and Virtus so..

i belive trough some time he will get a chance...evrey normal coach will recognize his talent (at least i belive it will be case wih him:) )...dasic...not even close by talent...typcal basketball twener with lack of "know how" how to use his talents in quality on court and who can't find his spot

Can anybody explain, how Chester Mason (guard 184 cm) became the top rebounder of Adriatic League with 8.08 rpg? :)

goga u are enough intelligent to understand me, so please don't change meaning of my word.i know u can undesrtand and reading over simple words. come on i'm not stupid
u made example of over 32 players added by great team, but u understand that is not the right way. the fact that rarely it happened(how many times happen a great team add over 32players?) doesn t mean is correct. i'll never give 1 mln to saras , with that money i can sign a very good younger player.
about how we consider mac roster comparing with at least other 10 teams i think are better, unfortunatly those are opinions.
i can say that every expert, majority of internationl fans from everywhere, consider siena real kimki efes , teams much stringer than us, but i respect your opiniomn even i'm so surprised. sometimes seasons go in the better way ,sometimes are simply chemically negative, but reading players of real efes and co', i'll envy them at least 4 players each team.
also i said i'd change 3 of 5 players who were copnsider more important and who played more minutes. i don't care who start the matches. i see munutes played and generally conideration of them. miunutes says who can be included in the first five players we have.
about israeli. i admit i absolutely don't know israeli league so i have just to believe what u say and what other israeli fan here use to write. i just can be surprised if we really haven t better player than mekel pnini or green. somebody wrote we have good guards better than mekel but no better center than green. so why not adding israeli guards and releasing green adding another foreign center? u are right, if u say it would be not easy to release him. nobody wulld give him our same contract, one of craziest things we made.
we both would like better mac. i think we need more than u ,but mainly we bothn knows we have no money. so how to create a new next year team? u said we are not ready, fast and enough rich to buy young yu players, or expansive european, but as i said , world is very big and even accepting paying buy out till 300mln is the only way. there are many players not much considered like nadjifeji who could be optiopns.what about the coming back of morris? why not. he played just few minutes lately in barca..does som, ebody know how is going batista this year? he played great season for us years ago..why not?

and why not velesy? tp expensive i guess..anyway as u can see ...i'd far from new amercans . cheaper maybe, but is a kind of betting on every one .
greer..to be sure..

Can anybody explain, how Chester Mason (guard 184 cm) became the top rebounder of Adriatic League with 8.08 rpg? :)

Because he's got super long arms, an amazing body, is a great athlete, and is absolutely tough as nails. He averaged 8 rebounds per game in the NCAA too. The guy is from Cleveland, he doesn't take any shit from no one. Grew up in the same house as Juby Johnson, so you know he's gonna be a tough SOB.

And he's not 184...he's around 193-195 cm.
