Poor performance from Cedevita. I know they take a lot of three pointers, but this was a whole new level. Poor decision making all over the floor, especially their key players Draper, Wright, Rudez. 6/27 from downtown while Unics goes 11/24 on much better looks. Not much of a rotation for Unics, who played 4 guys 33+ minutes, the 5th guy 26.

Benetton-CajaSol was played on a high level. They used Satoransky's length to bother Markovic/Bulleri in the build up and were physical against Smith and Gentile. Davis' size and athleticism caused all kinds of problems.

With 1/10 field goals, Devin Smith cemented his status as a top 5 SF on the continent.

CajaSol small favourites for me, but could go either way.

Nice game, fantastic defense of Plaza's team! Cajasol needs to play like yesterday to beat the russians.

As their coach before said somthing like that: "I'm probably the only one coach in Europe who wants to win championship with offense".

Gonna root for Cajasol and Benetton today :D

I did not surprised me that Cajasol beat Bennetton (I posted in a spanish forum), as Cajasol "on paper" has a nice squad of players. However this year in Spanish ACB League they are disappointing; Injuries and Eurocup extra-games maybe have something to do with that. On the other hand Benetton has 13 wins - 12 losses in LEGA, so they weren't too much fearsome.

This night Cajasol is also a little favourite IMHO. Okay, Unics Kazan has a better starting five:

- Liday
- Popovic
- McCarty
- Veeremenko
- Lampe

But then, their bench is not impressive at all: Pashutin and Samorylenko are veteran guys, Minard is OK but has lost his status and confidence, and regarding to the bigs Vranes is not playing.

With reference to Cajasol they have also a nice starting line-up accompanied with five bench players useful in the rotation:

- Calloway seems to be out of shape, so Satoransky will run the team. At any case, both makes a nice Point Guard duo to stop Liday.

- Louis Bullock is shooting guard master. A little veteran, but he is going to be succesful in his "duel to death" with Popovic. Bullock is a falling star, but still a star.
Urtasun is not worse than Pashutin, and quite more younger.

- Kirksay is younger and not worse than McCarty, despite Kelly's well deserved reputation.
Sastre is a young prospect, clearly inferior than Minard. But Minard seems to play more as a PF, where Cajasol has also a bench player like Ivanov.

- Katelnynas is a decent PF, altough he will suffer against a superior Veeremenko. But Cajasol has here Ivanov's help to stop him.

- Paul Davis is a great center, physically and technically. Lampe is another great center, but Paul is even better (more tough near basket). Again Cajasol has here Triguero's support, meanwhile Vranes is not playing.

So in conclusion, I see Cajasol has at least 50% or more chances to defeat UNICS whose stars are requested to play tons of minutes (>33 yesterday, except Popovic).

so what,he had a bad day.last year against Valencia in similar situation he had 29 on 10/14 fgs.One game cannot be a safe sample to determine a players value. You as a statistician should know that.

Congrats to Unics. Lampe, McCarty, Popovic and Lyday too much for Cajasol.

Congratulations to Unics Kazan, they deserve the title. Their starting line-up is TOP 8 of Euroleague. They played in an another and superior level than Cajasol.

Another of the keys: Lampe 26 pts, Davis 5 pts (shameful). It's clear who is superior :D.

I have not understood Cajasol rotations:

- Why the hell starts Ivanov instead of Katelynas?

- Why Calloway enters so late in the game?

Cajasol has not started with the best team, and Unics made a big gap.

Next year it will be interesting Unics in Euroleague. However they need some valid people in bench ;).

My sincere congrats to our UNIKS KAZAN!!! Our guys deserved this victory without doubts. Zenya Pashutin is GREAT! Btw, big hello to Vatutin. President of Cska just stupidly sacked Evgeniy before the start of the current season. And now, Evgeniy sends his greetings to Vatutin actually...

I'm so glad for Marko and Pashutin to who shouldn't be fired from CSK

Congrats to UNICS,

So funny: Popovic come to eurosport hosts with his MVP trophy & Djordjevic with an intonation of StarWars' "I'm your father , Luke" : Marko, I played with your father" ... :D

BTW, IIRC

It's the second time Kelly McCarty spoil a party to Plaza : the first one was with Jerusalem vs. Real Madrid.

huge congrats to UNICS - they have a very talented squad of individuals and thoroughly deserve their Euroleague spot next year. It will be nice to watch this interesting team playing top level basketball next year

Absoluty... One one the weirdest moves I've seen in basketball. Who knows where CSKA would be now if Pashutin was still in command. Congrats to UNICS, hope to watch the game later.
