To be honest, the Netherlands looked quite decent already last year in the first round of qualification. They probably could have won it, if only they had not used too many naturalized players in a couple of group matches. Happy to see them make it anyway.

Goal average is technically point differential just presented in percentage
Like I said, if Netherlands wins against Montenegro then probably Romania drops out as the worst second, and that's it, Netherlands won, Romania is out along Montenegro, which is a big deal.

well after Serbia&Montenegro falled apart Montenegro were trying to bring with money all kind of sportsman from our ex country to play for their NT,it had some kind of temporary "success" if you can call that "success" this country has no sport future i guess cuz there are no more money and even alot of their sportsman wants to play for Serbia you have Vucevic which is big fan of RedStar Belgrade and Pekovic which is big fun of Partizan neither of them wants to play for Montenegrian NT i wonder why?

I feel sorry for Montenegro, I think they will learn their lesson and come back stronger.

Well, there is small support from the rest of the team for these players, almost everything would go through these 2 guys, of course there are other reasons. I would prefer if Mirotic would play for Montenegro (he is eligible) national team rather than the Spain one. This way the talent pool is spread out, the games are more competitive. Even before this I think there was small chance, now almost none.

It is only just. Can't say I feel sorry for Montenegro. After all, since when should countries of 0.6 million inhabitants who don't use their best players get a spot at the final round of Eurobasket? Besides, the sport should expand to other countries as well.
Congratulations for the Netherlands. Hope it's a step in a long process for stable recovery at the top stage.
BTW Why are we talking about Eurobasket 2005 in the section of Eurobasket 2003? There should be a new section. Moderators?
