Venezuela has the home court advantage. But Nigeria is more athletic and has a lot of depth inside the paint.

Mojado wrote on Nigeria NT threat that Tony Skinn is sick.
Regarding he is OK for tonight's game, I can see an upset on this one.
I am a big fan of Greivis but I will pick Nigeria over Venezuela :)

I don't know what to make of this game to be honest. Nigeria's roster has had many changes and is difficult to predict even though this years' roster imo is much better than in previous years...

I believe this will be the closest game of the day.
I think Nigeria will win the game by a 3 point margin.

Bold Prediction: Nigeria 79 - 76 Venezuela

Yes,very close game,
but I believe that Venezuela
will win,because of the home
court advantage.

+10 for Venezuela if their coach is smart enough to get Nigeria's PG into foul-trouble.

Bakare should be clever enough to protect his PGs (Skinn, Dagunduro). None of these two should guard Vasquez...

Any update about Skinn's condition?

The only game in first day that could be interesting and eaqual...All other first days games is boring, because everybody of us can say the winners.Russia,Macedonia,Greece easy wins... This group with lithuania, venezuala, nigeria is strongest in my eyes, all 3 teams have tools and players to compete. In other groups there 2 teams and 3 is for blow outs...
Seeing this one close win for venezuala because of home court edge

Bakare is so "clever" to bring only one true PG in - So no, I dont see him being so clever to let someone else guard Vasquez, except if Skinn is not going to feel better today and sits on the bench.

Venezuela is going to win its first game, even if it'll have to fight Nigeria tooth and claw. They have home court advantage and fans, too. It will be a tough game, but Venezuela will pull it through.

Its difficult to predict in this game, Both teams has players with World championship experience.
Venezuela has couple of veterans in their roster as well as Nigeria most of the players in their roster
are athletic.

I'm going to say Venezuela wins a tight one riding their home crowd. If it was a neutral court I'd probably say Nigeria.

Anyone have the links and time for the game. I am hoping Nigeria wins this one, but Venezuela are playing at home so they might have the advantage.....

http://www.sportlemon.tv/c-6.html should have every game in the tournament.

As for time, don't know what time zone you're in but it will be coming on at 8 pm Eastern Standard Time so adjust accordingly.

Greivis Vasquez vs. Tony Skinn. A matchup that has been seen at the Kenner League several times in the past...

My main prediction for tonight is that Vasquez takes will lead the tournament in "gesticulations" by the end of the game.
