Riyadi and Champville will dominate this cup as usual the Lebanese teams dominate all the Arab cup and numbers can talk about it ,in my opinion all the other teams can t pass 50 % of champville and Riyadi Level ,Champville and riyadi are 2 teams from another planet of these other teams, the 2 Lebanese Teams are so strong for this teams ,Ittihad can have some impact but they will find a hard way to match riyadi or Champville these 2 are very strong teams and their levels is by far from all the other teams (Respect for Them but it s a fact) and we can see the 2 last editions Lebanese Pure finals with the presence of good arab Teams !!

Gazara, 3 foreigners in the same time on the floor are allowed, i think you mixed up with dubai tournament :D

the tournament is very weak, so for sure the Lebanese teams will dominate, but i also expect ASU to compete with having Sam Daghlas and Zaid Abbas on the roster!

ah okk it s my mistakee i will correct it ,thx dani ...the last 2 editions were more competitive ,Now ittihad are not that stronger as the past ,and riyadi and Champville are more stronger than last years ,ASU is a good team but also Riyadi and Champville are much better ...

i dont think it'll be such an easy tournement for riyadi and champville, i expect a huge fight from ASU with Osama douglas (best assister in the CBA) as their starting Pg,and zeid abbas (who also had a good showing in the CBA) on the roster + 3 super imports,i think they will be a tough team to match,so dont count them up just yet,i see them competing on the 1st or 3rd place at least.
as for champville,i think they will take larry Cox as their 3rd import and have him play the 5 along with benson on the 4,but knowing Sarkis,i think he might go with only 2 imports:)
Riyadi i think are the strongest contenders, with vogel + 3 foreigners on their roster i think the balance is hugely tipped into their favor.

3rd consecutive year " a Pure Lebanese Final" ? :D
nshalla:)

2009: Riyadi vs Sagesse
2010: Riyadi vs Moutahed
2011: Riyadi vs Champville " would be great " :)

A Lebanese Classico in Arab Final..:)

Gooo Lebanon :D

Visca el Barca

Coach Abou Chacra should be smart and not play any of his major players big minutes as Riyadi will play in the Asian Championship just 3 days after the end of the Arab Championship...

Woods and Jean have been suffering from injuries this season so he shouldn't play them any extended minutes...

Last but not least Riyadi has won this tournament many times before while they haven't won the Asian Championship once :D...

Ittihad (Egypt), ASU (Jordan), Riyadi+Champville (Lebanon) will be the main teams qualifying to the semis and competing for the title with a slight advantage for both Lebanese teams....

I don't want to offend my Lebanese friends here, but I kind of hope that one of these other teams (ASU??) can stop Champville or Riyadi. Believe me, I love seeing Champville and Riyadi succeed internationally, but I'm starting to get tired of them, you know? Especially Riyadi...they're kind of like the Lakers for me. :D I'd be ecstatic if a team of pro-amatuers like the Algerians won.
13-Lee Benson(208-C)(USA)(Foreigner)
How long has he been playing for Champville? Last I heard, Lee Benson was still in China. I'm a big fan of Benson's. He's from my hometown. He's a great player and he could have gone to the NBA, but after his basketball season in high school, he "fell in" with the wrong crowd and had to go to jail for 8 years. Fortunately, he really turned his life around and has played all over the world now.

Is he signed for just the tournament? He is in amazingly great shape. I saw a picture of him from China and he looked like a statue. He takes great care of himself.

No he along with Tyrone Anderson are playing with Champville in the final 4 in the Lebanese league as replacements for the previous 2 foreigners (Jay Youngblood and Larry Cox) who got banned from the Lebanese federation for doping...
