De La Salle should be one proud school...They produced National team standouts out of their benchwarmers...

Indonesia
Bima Risky Ardiansyah
Dirk Mathew Mario Gerungan
Fandi Andika Ramadhani
Ferdinand
Handri Satrya Santosa
Kelly Purwanto Nugroho
Khalif Akbar
Muhammad Isman Thoyib
Oki Wira Sanjaya
Rizky Effendi
Wahyu Widayat Jati
Xaverius Prawiro

Ferdinand who played for lasalle?

should join philippines for numbers seaba title. smart gilas cadet team or any team from pba d-league for international exposure.

For Indonesia, they got their players from the the champion of their domestic NBL league with a few reinforcements (Ferdinand is one of them).

Don't know about Malaysia.

most of the senior players for the national team are members of the ABL Team. in which they just ended their campaign and still having a much deserved vacation. if ever indonesia makes it to the FIBA Asia, expect the lineup will change.

malaysia is fielding its next generation players. they are doing pretty well in this competition. i would expect some members of this team will join the dragons next season.probably the one's with stellar performances.

Don't get me wrong Thailand and Malaysia are sending their A teams.. As John Ng, Yeo is in the lineup and as if there is a huge difference in talent level between their players...but too bad for Indonesia the gap of talent level between Mario Wuysang and the rest of the team is so far evident with the level up of competion(in abl) his game also levels up if we compare him if his performace in their local league..

Thailand is leading the ballgame against Malaysia by 21.. if they hold on they will go on to Manila..

Thailand on its way to beat Malaysia with a score of 42-18 at halftime. So who will make it to FIBA Asia?

Malaysia beats Indonesia 67-64
Indonesia beats Thailand 89-88
Thailand beats Malaysia ???

Malaysia are in trouble. Down 18-42 vs Thailand so far. If Indonesia wins against Singapore today, Malaysia will fall down to 3rd place if this score keeps up.

I think Malaysia needs to keep the deficit by 5 at most if they are to keep 2nd place in the standings. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

Quotient before the Malaysia-Thailand game

Malaysia +3
Thailand -1
Indonesia -2

Well a full-forced Indonesian team deserves a spot in FIBA Asia. They should bring in their "big guns" to Manila if they do get a slot.

Thailand has definitely improved from their stint in the ABL as evident in today's game.

More likely not.. their sight might be on the "SEA games" thats why you see a club team playing here..

As for Thailand, Ghogar and Klahan two of their toughest players played sparingly...

Uh oh... Things are indeed getting more interesting.

It's stupid to focus on SEAG and not FIBA Asia when FIBA Asia can be used as a training ground for SEAG.

If Indonesia doesn't make it they only have themselves to blame.

And Indonesia have caught up. Lead is down to 6, 54-48.

Indonesia fightback fell short. They got the lead down to 3 points, 54-51 before Singapore recovered and extended the lead to double-digits again.

2013 SEABA Standings

1. Thailand 2-1
2. Malaysia 2-1
3. Singapore 1-2
4. Indonesia 1-2

Finals tomorrow between Thailand and Malaysia for the SEABA crown. Basically a rematch of today's game.

Malaysia is sending a mixed personnel. kwan yoon jing, guga and batumalai are not there. they should've made the difference for malaysia. Thailand is sending its strongest team.

as for indonesia, there's nothing much they could do as the seniors are taking rest from their ABL stint. while senior players from malaysia are doing the same.

i think thailad will win this seaba championship.

The Philippines, being the host of FIBA Asia 2013, will skip this tourney.

It will be a great match though among the four remaining teams for the two allotted slots. Malaysia has become a lot stronger while Thailand seems to have Indonesia's number.

Fearless forecast: (1) Malaysia (2) Thailand

As I have predicted, both Malaysia and Thailand will book the last two tickets to Manila.

I feel bad for Indonesia. They have a growing domestic basketball league (NBL), a strong ABL team, and they still couldn't pull it off.

If the Indonesia Warriors really just wanted to "rest" then they have no one else to blame for their demise.

This tournament is just 4 games with the last game (championship) just for formality. How tiring can this tourney be? It's not like they were exhausted in the ABL playoffs anyway, only Wuysang played heavy minutes. The other locals played sparingly.
