This Chinese NT is one of the most promising youth NT's in a long time. They were able to win against European U16 NT's and these kids have been playing together now for quite a while.

Iraq is fielding older players from their senior NT. That's why.

Ah ok. I`ve seen, that china won against France in a really convincing way.

Do u know, which are the guys from the Iraq Senior Nt, because i only see young guys in the roster. Did they also play in the WABA Qualifiers? it is curious and how can it be allowed:)?

I don't know the names but I can assure you that the names of players who are mentioned as being as born in 1997 are very suspicious ..

No other team in this tournament has players who are born in 1997 so how about having 4 players mentioned as being born in 1997?

Is the Iraqi NT that talented that they defeated all the other West Asian Teams in the qualifiers with 14 year olds playing on their roster

4 Mohammed Abdulqaer 31/01/1997 165
13 Alaa Mohammed 26/10/1997 180
14 Ahmed Razzaq 08/04/1997 185
15 Ali Abdulhussein 03/05/1997 195

Very strange. So they are able to beat Korea today? But what happened, if it so obviously - all games will be rated with 0 points for Iraq?

I don't think they will beat South Korea but I do believe the final score will be close imo (game will be played at 19:00 local time so that should be in around 4 hrs time).

Anyways let's see what happens and whether indeed it will be a close match or not.

Iran U16 NT won't participate in the Asian Championship due to the Vietnamese decision for not granting visa to our players and staff. The federation is now filing a complaint against Vietnam to FIBA Asia.

The players have gone home,so it's over for us this year.

Pathetic and corrupted continent isn't it?

you said it..

Similar case happened to the Philippines . . . the country was set to host the 1963 FIBA World Championship but then President Diosdado Macapagal ordered that visas not be issued to the teams from the communist bloc like Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union.

As a consequence, FIBA transferred the games to Brazil and suspended the Philippines.

That's the difference. FIBA Asia is corrupted as hell with that big fat ass Sheikh being the Head. Can't expect more from them.

well this continent is full of surprises.

it would have been better to see all the teams competing in this tournament.

I think one of the lebanese players also didn't get the visa. So immature from the host and the Asian federation.

Yeah but our player didn't get the visa because he was a last second replacement to our injured Bashar Mahmoud and we only had 2 days to get his visa.

Latest game:

Indonesia 75 - 61 Vietnam

The Vietnamese basketball federation has apologized to the Iranian basketball federation today through a letter.

They have said that the documents where sent on time by the Iranians but the Vietnamese had failed to reply it due to their computer problems that had several Viruses. Now that is pure shit!!

That's what you get when you have a country who doesn't know what basketball is,being the host nation.

The Iranian basketball federation is filing up a complainment to FIBA Asia(the boss of all corrupters!). And they are looking forward to get compensations from the Vietnamese.

If this gets into something routine then we should be worried now.

What's the real reason why this might have happened? Are their problems in the relations between the two countries  Does Vietnam have something against the Iranian regime

This is sports we're talking about here!!!

It would be really something if FIBA Asia actually does something regarding this :D... The Iranian basketball federation should have directly contacted FIBA headquarters in Geneva (contacting Mr. Baumann himself) cause those are the guys who would take the right responses regarding such matters ;)... not our pathetic FIBA Asia

End of First Quarter:

Iraq 19 - 13 South Korea

End of First Half:

Iraq 30 - 34 South Korea

End of Third Quarter:

Iraq 58 - 45 South Korea !!! Iraq has a big chance to win this game!!

End of Game:

Iraq 70 - 73 South Korea

What a comeback big win by South Korea!!! Group B definitely is the toughest of all the groups!!

Iran definitely has the right to file a formal complaint to FIBA. Not to FIBA-Asia. Iran Basketball is likely not going to get any result if they go to FIBA-Asia as a computer virus or other network or IT related issue is not an excuse to properly issue these kids and the rest of their delegation the proper visa or documents to enter Vietnam.

I just hope that the non-issuance of visa is not politically driven.

;)

It must have been a great game to watch as South Korea came back from a 13 point deficit at the end of the 3rd quarter to defeat Iraq by 3 points at the end of the game!

Final Score:

Iraq 70 -73 South Korea

stats are all whacked up. rebounds, assists, blocks and steals are all mixed up. same with fouls. there was a guy who got 7 fouls. another with 6. insane! stat guys in nhatrang might have been poorly prepped for the event. :(
