and why did pascual leave the team? also are we not able to recruit nikko moninichi?
interxavierxxx said:1. You don't want to know their heights, trust me.
htownflip87 said:![]()
is it really that bad? i know torres is 6'7 and Sangalang is 6'6? is that right?
interxavierxxx said:No comment about that. The thing is: our RP Youth Team is again a run-and-gun team. Nothing wrong with that, however, we're lacking good frontliners but our guards are our main offense. Our frontliners' job are primarily defense, while offense is only a secondary objective.
There's hope, don't worry. Just because other teams have players above 2 meters doesn't always mean those players are a threat. It takes physical and rigorous months or even years of training to have a powerful tall 2 meter basketball player.
Don't forget, 98% of our players can hit beyond the arc (including Torres and Paredes).

elie haber 218cm,this guy is very good in joking, but in balling no comment.
The syria 218cm,i prefer to see him sitting at home.
The korean teams were always short but talent, fast, mobile. And they had a very bright results.
I still believe that Rp can make it,i watch a short video on youtube and they are not bad.
Is Matthew Wright, a 6-foot-2 the 3th Fil-For players in RP Youth NT?trigun_08 said:TEAM PILIPINAS
Fil-Canadian joins RP Youth team

A high-leaping Filipino-Canadian is the newest addition to the Nokia Philippine Youth team that will compete in the FIBA Asia Junior Men Championship on Aug. 28 to Sept. 5 in Tehran, Iran.
Matthew Wright, a 6-foot-2 shooting guard who starred for the Martin Grove high school team in Toronto, arrived Tuesday and immediately braced himself for the 18-under squad's final tune-up competition next week.
"He'll add ceiling to the team," said national mentor Franz Pumaren of Wright, a 16-year-old Grade 11 student who topscored in 18 of the Groves' 26 recent games.
The young nationals will compete against Lithuania, China and Chinese Taipei in the Manila Youth Invitational basketball championship on Aug. 14 to 17 as a run-up training to Iran.
Lithuania will banner three 7-footers, including FIBA-Euro Youth championship Most Valuable Player Donatas Motiejunas.
Led by Norbert Torres, another Filipino-Canadian, the Philippines qualified to the Iran joust after ruling the Southeast Asian Basketball Association Junior Men Championship in Kuala Lumpur last May.
The Philippines, which last won the Asian junior crown in 1982, is in Group C along with the United Arab Emirates, Chinese Taipei and Lebanon.
Defending champion China, Japan, India and Hong Kong are in Group A; Kazakhstan, Jordan, Korea and Saudi Arabia in Group B; and host Iran, Syria, Uzbekistan and Malaysia in Group D.

Who is nikko?C2Hamm said:just to give you something to think about... 3 guys are atleast 6'5 and 3 guys are 5'10 and below.
nikko will be on his first year in Junior College, I don't think the schedule and his school will allow him. lets cross our fingers he does play for RP after college.
nikko monachini played in BC area in Canada, played center in HS but is being converted to play the 3 spot now in Junior College. I don't know if the team will be stronger because he hasn't played with them yet. I don't want to assume much. please back read in this thread and even the first RP Youth thread for more information on him.FEIFEI said:Who is nikko?
Will RP Youth NT stronger if nikko play??
Is he a Center???
its safe to remove Mendoza from this list, he is playing for DLSU already. he's doing quite well for a rookie.b3lowzro said:Ryan Roose Garcia

that leaves 12 players in the list. can this be a sneak peek of the team already? non-official but possibility is high...
