It would be Gabe Norwood as the top pick if ever he completes his application for the PBA draft. There is no Jason Castro and Jared Dillinger,I think he will be the smartest choice.

well theres a Solomon Mercado that could be a surprise draft pick like Rich Alvarez before

Richard Alvarez was not a surprise pick. He was a "no-brainer" for the number 1 pick overall (Shell). He was the best athlete in the 2004 draft and won the 2004 ROY honors beating number 2 pick James Yap (Purefoods).

Coming out of the amateurs: winning two UAAP MVPs (2000 & 2001), one UAAP title with Ateneo (2002), Mythical Five selection in the PBL and one PBL championship for Ateneo-Pioneer (2002).

Unfortunately he got injured (knee) in his sophomore year and is making a great comeback this PBA conference.

well, sol mercado showed that he's a solid contributor. that can be manifested in the games he played in the PBL under harbour centre.

Will Mark Borboran applied for the draft? I think the Guard-Forward (6-4) has a bright future in the PBA. He also looks like Kerby raymundo

hmm.. with regards to welcoat, if they draft sol, then he will be an upgrade to Tangkay. i think they need a better PG more than anything. No offense to Baguion or Dulay. but then again, drafting the best talent is the way to go if you have the chance.
i'd go for Gabe, then trade away Devance. hehehehe

Baguion, Dulay or Mente. One of those guys has to go to give way to Welcoat's pick either Norwood or Solomon. Dulay(5'6") is too small, Mente is getting old and Baguion is in-and-out of the lineup because of injury.

Welcoat, definitely needs a solid big guard in its lineup to complement Wainwright, DeVance and Reyes.

Welcoat should have signed Boyet Bautista than Donald Dulay..

Agree, first time I saw the guy play I compared him to K. Raymundo....

Kerby Raymundo and Mark Borboran has the same built but both play different positions. The taller Raymundo plays center during his collegiate days at Letran and now has evolved his game by playing power forward and shooting forward in certain situations. Borboran is a shooting forward and a better shooter in the perimeter.

boyet bautista is a good player but he doesn't have big IQ in basketball. don dulay maybe small compared to him that he has the ring generalship that boyet doesn't have. so, if I am a team owner, i would rather go for a player who handle pressure even if he's a not great scorer. no offense to boyet, but he's only good in the amateurs. perhaps he can bring his act to the new liga pilipinas.

Elmer Espiritu

Elmer Espiritu

UE's Elmer Espiritu(190 cm/6'3 G/F) I think is a decent player..he's got hops and he could play guard or small forward..At 6'3 I think he would be fine if he stays playing as a shooting guard.I've seen some of his highlights alley-oop two handed dunks a couple of seasons ago in the UAAP.But I think he won't be applying for the draft.

Borboran too can play the off-guard position because of his quickness...

The athletic Espiritu's best position is either PF and C. Espiritu doesn't have the skills in offense to play small forward but he can be a good defender against the opponent's small forward.

For Mark Borboran, I would love to see him develop to a shooting guard. But he's problem is his defense, he doesn't play that tough a defense and gets left on the dust on a few occasions particularly if his team is on a double-teaming scheme, he is slow to rotate. His offensive skills though are limitless.

Espiritu will most likely apply for the draft next year. UAAP rules state that you can't play in the UAAP and apply for the draft in the same year. Such is not the case with the NCAA, though.

Espiritu is playing small forward in the PBL I don't think he developed his outside shot though

gabe norwood might play for welcoat if Welcoat picks 1st or the 2nd worst record maybe BGK might draft Gabe Norwood.

I would pick the best player in the draft not only idividually but in team aspect probably without a doubt Norwood.

He's just 6'3"? No kidding?? I think he's nearer to 6'5"-6'6" but yeah he's got hops.... even better than Mairhoffer's.... :D BTW, is Maierhoffer eligible for the upcoming draft?
