Also Guiao is a politician as well. He seem to like being in the opposition at all times.
Yup...no different from Pringle joining the league after finding out GP "won" the lottery.
Yeng's real target is not Pringle or the top overall pick. His target is Salud. For the past couple of seasons, Guiao took it upon himself, even to the point of losing a million or so, to question Salud's control of the PBA. Right or wrong, Guiao felt that their team has always ended up as the aggrieved party in most of Salud's decisions while unwittingly claiming that one party has been the beneficiary at their expense. Guiao's system has never been known to rely specifically on an individual talent, proof positive of which is the amount of playing time he gives his marquee players.
On the other hand, whatever mistakes the PBA commits is brought to the public attention by Guiao. He acts as the foil, the antithesis of the institution, and relishes this role. Guiao has lashed at past Commissioners - Eala and Barrios, so it's not that he's nitpicking. Like it or not, what Guiao has done, particularly in bringing to everyone's attention how sloppy and suspicious the PBA lottery was, will have long-term positive effects to the PBA. Salud's admission and subsequent public apology resonate deeply and the Commissioner knows that he's at the receiving end of a terrible backlash.
In fairness, Salud's apology was the right move for him. Note though that he's now on the defensive, and is falling into the trap of Guiao's weaving. Will Salud's credibility and integrity be undermined after all these? Perhaps...or maybe not. The apology stymied this and it came at a perfect time. But it did put Salud under the microscope - and for the first time in his PBA Commissioner's career, he's getting battered all over.
Could have been a sweep! Grandslam has to wait. lol
ROS is a one-man show. Arizona Reid is a fantastic import. He rightfully deserves the best import award for this conference, but I don't think he can do it alone. I think Belga was the next leading scorer for ROS with 8 points. Sangalang was clutch in the 3rd period. Giving SMC the cushion to finish the game.
In the first two games for ROS it has only been Chan, Lee, Gabe, and Belga who have scored in double digits. Reid was the lone double digit scorer in Game 3.
The process or procedure was done in a cheaply fashion but there is no bulls@t going on there. Yeng in his typical politician style..pinersonal si Salud as if to send a message across. I dont agree with some of saluds decision like the lopsided trades and his seemingly lenient attitude on Pingris. But accusing him of fixing the draft is childish. Well, what else do we expect from yeng....pati player nga pinapatulan.![]()
I understand ROS. If a player like Pringle, who is an import-level player and is included in the draft, you'll definitely want to get him. And you' definitely want an honest draw at this moment.![]()
The question now is, if ever there is a redraw and ros happen to be the winner of the 1st pick will pringle push for his draft application?
A possibility. Mikee Romero says he wants to build a champion team. And he said the same thing before he sold Aguilar, Lassiter and maybe a few others i am forgetting to SMC.
lassiter played for powerade under baylon not with romero.
Corrected. Japeth's was his doing though, no?
