Speaking of basketball fans I vote Zalgiris fans. Why? because they don't have football presence, the fans that support Zalgiris are 100% basketball fans, you don't have football fans (and ultras) comming to the game like you have in Beograd, Fenerbachche, Pao, Oly and so on. Thats the spirit.

Water polo is one of the 4 (or 5) major European sports? I thought you making a joke here, but I read your next post you were serious :D :D :D :D

You are so clueless my friend :)

you're so...pao fan :D

most of the times you need a lifesaver to avoid drowning in the pool, it's understandable why you wonder :p

Where did i wrote that?

I wrote the 4 major sports (which are 5, i forgot handball because...it's not popular in greece :D).

Hockey? c'mon it doesn't exist in europe, it's a sport for americans and canadians like american footy:p

Hahahahaha...Oh man you are priceless.

Hockey being a sport for americans, yet fucking waterpolo is one of the big sports in europe...Hahahaha...Waterpolo?Really?! Who gives two flying fucks about waterpolo except Greece, Serbia and Montenegro? Hhahaa...Oh man i really enjoyed this good laugh early in the morning.

And also volleyball haha as well... Same crap as vaterpolo, a bit better, because actually, more people and countries play it but it is in no shape of form one of the big sports...The only real major sport you mentioned was Basketball.

Good job.

I always enjoy a lot the games played in Germany. I don't know if they are basketball or football fans, but when a Euroleague game is played in Germany, the arena always is full and people support their team during the 40 minutes. And it doesn't matter which team is (Alba, Bamberg, Oldenburg...).

Fenerbahce, Partizan? They're not fans, they're a ultras. Football's ultras. It's a difference between them.

I am really surprised you find Partizan and Fener fans comparable.

Useless thread, as this is a basketball forum and Fenerbahçe is a team which its entire fan potential is sourced by football. Yeah, you'll see Fb fans all around the world, but the club shall just shut down the football branch and that entire potential will collapse. I have no doubts about it.

Do not forget, last year FB Ülker were warned by EL management for low attendance in EL games. Organising WC2010 made bb gain some popularity all around the country. The new Sinan Erdem Dome, and FB Ülker's successful bb this year started to pull fans to the games. But you cannot compare the good athmosphere of a few games to a club that is known to be the greatest bb factory of Europe. I can say 20% of FB fans know very little about basketball, and at least 75% know simply nothing. I wish I had the numbers of total attendance of all clubs for last year in TBL.

This goes the same in every sports besides football. Last year FB woman's volleyball team reached to the f4 in el of volleyball, played the final and lost after a very close game and took 2nd place. Until then, they had recieved penalty from CEV for extremely low attendance in the games in İstanbul. People didn't even know how the team were doing untill f4 was reached. Anyway, even though I'm a great FB hater, I was dying to watch the f4 games with some nationalist impact, and f4 games were going to be broadcasted live on TV. Unfortunately the sf game was to start when I was driving from work to home. With great curiousity about the game I tried to get live score by calling FB fans I know of by phone (in this country, no matter where, if you walk in the street and ask any 5 people about the team they support you will get at least 1 fenerbahçe answer, so you can assume it wasn't a big deal to reach to some fb fans ). And guess what, I could not find 1 single FB fan out of my friends watching the game. I went home and watched what was remaining.

Anyone who has doubts about this fact (I know some FB fans will try to prove the opposite) we can make a quick test. Just take a walk in the street (could be anywhere in TUR), find some FB fans (very simple), and ask each one some simple questions, such as which team did FB beat last night in the EL, when was the last time FB Ülker won the TBL trophy. Or you can ask for some names in FB Ülker's squad. Do it, and think once more if Partizan and FB are even comparable.

Fenerbahce Fans

Fenerbahce Fans

As far as knew there are 20.000.000 Fenerbahce fan just in Turkey.
It is far more higher population then EX Yugoslavia or Greece or Lethuvania.:)
What ever you says furthermore absolutlly nonsens.

I bet Russians, Finns, Czechs, Sweedish, Slovaks, Latvians would have a different oppinion.
Kousaros quoted Kwijibo, and he was talking about rink-hockey, a sport practiced only in Catalonia, Portugal, Argentina and few countries more. In this sport, Barcelona is one of the biggest teams.

I am really surprised you find Partizan and Fener fans comparable.

Yes.
Partizan fans aro so better that they can not even compare.

And you are wrong about Ultras.
Yes, we have Ultras, but we really have a lot of greate bball public.

And that's simply why even 1 single empty seat in any bb game should be a source of shame for FB Ülker. You're just proving what I was trying to explain.
Typical FB reaction, emotional and out of logic.

Remember, the question is
What is your opinion whose fans are more loyal to their team?
I don't think this implies anything about total number of fans.

Post of the day, hands down. It has everything from Becirovisms, to a pure demonstration of logic, to phonetic spellings and, above all, it remains on topic and in line with the question posed at the beginning of the thread.

Good thing the end of the year is not too far away and I can nominate this for the awards....

:) My friend. If you have a 20.000.000 fan and your team would be succesfull there wont be any empty seat. If Efespilsen could play same game it wont be same result. Because they have no Fan.

I guess both of us not Sociologist here. For giving correct answer to your question need some data just like population of the fans, ethnics source, annual income etc.
If Partizans fan population are totaly 2-3 million to compare with 20 million fenerbahce fan of cource Fener Fans more loyal to their team.

Simple example; Supposing that If partizan plays a final game at Germany aganist Turkish team very few partizan fan can go over there. But tons of Fenerbahce fans attant there. It is directly related with population of the fans.

...I can say 20% of FB fans know very little about basketball, and at least 75% know simply nothing. I wish I had the numbers of total attendance of all clubs for last year in TBL.

Mostly true but your numbers are a little far fetched.

... Last year FB woman's volleyball team reached to the f4 in el of volleyball, played the final and lost after a very close game and took 2nd place. Until then, they had recieved penalty from CEV for extremely low attendance in the games in İstanbul.

Not true. That fine was only for one game, which had no importance and coincided with a very important football game. The rest of the games were full-house.

People didn't even know how the team were doing untill f4 was reached. Anyway, even though I'm a great FB hater, I was dying to watch the f4 games with some nationalist impact, and f4 games were going to be broadcasted live on TV. It may be your experience, but its just an example, nothing more. Hence proves nothing. I have a lot of counter-examples. But this is basketball forum, lets stay on topic.

Where the hell do you live? :p

This test proves nothing. I bet I can go out and ask a simple question about turkish football NT and most of the people would fail to answer it.

Admittedly Fenerbahce (as well as other turkish team) basketball fans are no way near to Partizan fans, not even comparable. However they do have basketball fans, and their numbers are growing rapidly.

Kousaros quoted Kwijibo, and he was talking about rink-hockey, a sport practiced only in Catalonia, Portugal, Argentina and few countries more. In this sport, Barcelona is one of the biggest teams.

And galicia :D.
I saw some months ago that the team with most tittle is CSKA Moscow and the second team is Barça. That's all.

Not true. That fine was only for one game, which had no importance and coincided with a very important football game. The rest of the games were full-house.

Are we talking about the same vb games, which there was a giant roll of poster attached to the bottom part of the tribunes all along one side, a picture of real audience, giving the impression that a greater crowd is watching the game? Full-house is a strong word, and I cannot agree to that.

Where the hell do you live? :p

You know where I live. This is where the total number of local team fans wouldn't make even 10% of FB fans. Just like the rest of the country. You don't have to live in İstanbul to get the characteristics of either FB, GS or BJK fans.

Just tell me one thing. Say FB Ülker made it to the el-f4 this year, and say the football team failed to win the turkish trophy, would there be more claps than boos? Yeah, we all know the answer...bAziz Yıldırım shall close bb branch and end all bb facilities, this would be by far less important than the score of a single football game against GS.

The only thing I agree with you is that bb potential is growing in FB, like in many other turkish clubs.

I disagree! If my town had a great football team I would go to football games even if I am a basketball fan just to support my town. On the other hand, if there was a great basketball team, I would prefer to go to the basketball games! Besides, I don't think many people afford to go to all their team's games so I believe that they go to the games that really matter to them!

Am I the only one that finds this thread silly and pointless...
In upcoming period i expect some meaningful threads like, What the speed of lightning would be if it didn’t zigzag?

Admins, please....
