Puerto Rico was better than Brazil. Since Lula Ferreira(terrible coach) left, and first Monsalvo was the coach, and now Magnano, I don't think thats true.

Wanted Puerto Rico to qualify, they are a good team, but losing against China and Ivory Coast!!!It's just pathetic.

They need a new coach, they should do like Brazil did and hire a new one.

Agreed, but still unless you beat us decisevely, I cant say you guys have the better team.

Last year we beat a Brazil without Barbosa by 4 in a game where we where leading by 19 at one point, and lost to the complete team by 1 point when we had the last shot attempt that was just an inch from being the game winner.

PR didnt lose to China BTW.
 
are you kidding??? brazil is a better team than puerto rico by far, i thing brazil es one of the best team right now in the tournament and they can go far in this world championships. i really think that brazil is the best team in latin america, even better that argentina, but they always seem to have missing some of they best players, but this is a strong team and is showing it now.

Dont go disrespecting Argentina like that. Unless someone beats their A team consistently and cleanly, no latinamerican team can say they are better than them.

What is Brazil's biggest win this decade against Puerto Rico?

Being better by far when they can barely beat us?

Guys, why did not Ivories try to reach their +13 when it wa still possible, it looked like they did not know they need those +13 :confused:

I have always wondered why do your people hate on PR so much. I have many hypotheses, but i am not 100% sure. In the meantime you can wrap all your insecurities

Not by far. I think Brazil, Argentina and Puerto Rico are very similar in terms of talent and potential. The difference is the coach and the moment. It's a pitty Puerto Rico did not qualify, it would help our national teams in the future, maybe more spots in the WC. Because I think teams like Panama, Uruguay, Mexico can play the WC and be very competitive teams.

Sorry. I saw that now, I was wondering how China qualified, then I went to the results and rules of the competition. But maan, Ivory Coast is a physical team but that's it, they have no offense and a regular defense. We played them two weeks ago and won by +30 easily. Cintrón should be fired.

i just saw the game and the ivory coast played a great game, the ref were calling bad calls both ways so puerto rico loose because ivory played a better game.
 
China Team, you call that fight in 2005 brither for the chinese team. I call that coward, four chinese against Manuel Narvaez! Four against one! thats coward.

Now, about the game, Manolo Cintron should be fire and is true that Ivory Coast won, the get the credit, this was the only game that Puerto Rico play truly bad because we won one and the other three losses could go either way.

Puerto Rico should bring to the team a new wave of good young boricua players that they are doing well in NCAA and international play.
