Good job ELAJ. I hope there will be many many Slovenian fans!! At least half more than today. And bring us to the finals!!!

My impression is that Slovenian team is very, VERY serious. Slovenia (and Spain) remind me on various Yugoslavia NTs which had troubles in qualification rounds but were constantly raising their performance in the crunch times as the tournaments went on. I just hope Serbia is on the same pace for tonight ;) There is only one way to stop Lorbek - it's the "axe" falling to his hand two, three times, so it hurts next time he shoots. Example: Savic vs. Fucka 1997 Eurobasket finals.

you can try this method but it will cost you fouls and points, also i think it will be more fluent game than today with Croatia:D

Slovenia has played better so far but for some reason I think Serbia will give them trouble. I think if Serbia's young players don't crack under the pressure they can pull this one out.

You are 100% right - I was thinking on no-easy-points-allowed attitude, but a good old axe here and there won't hurt that much ;-) Id go for that since we have more players to rotate tomorrow than you guys.

pressure is now on both sides.
For Slovenian players couse they were mentioning the medal from the start and on young Serbian players couseof lack of experiance in decisive games, but they have allready exceeded expectations and will enter the game more relaxed, but it could be just the opposite

I completely agree. It definitely won't be an easy one.

After I give my congrats to the overachieving, almost heroic Slovenian team, the first one which managed to win a quarter-final, the sole unbeaten team in this Eurobasket (in the regular time of the games :D), I will stick to the more rested, more talented, deeper and more organized team

Serbia 55-45

Easy points allowed in semi-finals? I think not.
Tommorow we can expect Brezec and E. Lorbek in rocket, and Jaka Lakovič, Udrih and Nachbar waiting for assists from our center line if some old axes will fly...
:)
u have advantage in resting one day more, also we have some problems with injuries but as I said in previous posts; team mentality condition will prevail
(who wants it more) .

I cheerd for Slovenia in evry game besides today and I won't stop now. Gremo Slovenci!

That is a nice thing to say. I didn't believe such people exist in Croatia. Or maybe you just wish for Serbia to loose? That would be more reasonable. :D

lol. Easy tiger. Does this mean you support Serbia now?:D

Uh, i know that was in the group stages and the stats don't matter now, but what about Slovenia's easy win over Serbia in their first game of the tourney? 80 to 69 for the Slovenians... Was it a fluke of a win by Slovenia? Or the fact that fatigue and injuries are catching up with Slovenia and at the same time Serbia is starting to bloom at this point that we have to disregard the first result?

This is really 50-50 now, Slovenia is better on offense but they would/should (maybe) tired by now but it could be the opposite and the adrenaline gives them even more confidence and energy... Serbia is the better defensive team but maybe it's about match-ups as the first game has shown...

i am going with Serbia... Because i feel Slovenia is contented where they are right now.

Im for Slovenia in this one.

Totally forgot that i bet on them back in July to win Eurobasket

This is exactly what I fear, since even Nachbar when asked how he feels, replied, well how r u supposed to feel when u have achieved the biggest thing in your life? I feel like they are completely satisfied, even though they promised after the game that they will continue to bite till the last seconds for all the slovenians who sacrificed their time to go to Katowice. First win wasn't a fluke and it could be even higher on that day, but truthfully yesterday was the first time I was affraid our main players will physically colapse...

If anything, Slovenia proved we have the best defence, holding Croats to 15 points + last second open three pointer in the second half, and is the offence I'm worried. In other words, teamwork works perfectly on defense, but in the offence we almost play with our B National team individuals, as the Croats complained on Croatian forums. That's not entirely true of course, but Dragic already displayed his magic against Serbia, Udrih being even better than him IMO and could both relax Lakovic, who is now totally under siege from everybody, and the less we guess what Smodis could do in pair with Lorbek, the better our chances...
