Does that means, if Maccabi join VTB, then itll stop them from joining Euroleague next season?
Or Maccabi can still play more than 2 European leagues at same time?

MTA already played in EL and Adriatic league some years ago. It wasn't a good season, btw.

Guys, how's Sofo doing?

Is he going to play Final Four?

he's just fine..
he sat on the bench this Wednesday against Netanya..but Blatt didn't use him..

he'll be set for the next league game

no..no connection between the two..
CSKA and Khimki played both VTB and EL this year..

From what i've read in our media you guys apparently agreed everything with NLB league on meeting today in Ljubljana and only formality is left for 3 year contract to be signed.

They had offer from VTB league as well but they rejected it because they want to participate in full season league like NLB, and not just friendly "get together" like VTB.

Welcome to the club

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
link?:p

cool:D thank you:D
I read the comments...
people over there are really really really sure that Maccabi can't take the title away from Partizan:confused:

It's hard for you foreigners to understand.. Partizan fans are thinking that entire world is conspiring against them to take the titles away from them.. in all sports

In their heads this isn't move to provide better competition for Maccabi or to increase the league quality even more. It's all dedicated to holy goal - taking the title away from Partizan :D

XD..as Maccabi fans..trust me! we get it!
but...Kurt Cobain said once:''Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you'':p

I am bit confused, so since Maccabi joined NLB. Can Maccabi still play Euroleague as well in the same season?
Eg Euroleague 2011-12 and NLB 2011-12?

Why not?
As same as Cibona, Ljublijana and Partizan do the same.

According to Danko Radić(NLB Sports Director) Maccabi is close to sign a 3 years deal with the Organization.
Welcome back Maccabi.

Maybe, and maybe Maccabi is just trying to make the threat to join NLB look real. Maccabi doesn't really want to play there but our local league is pushing them into it with their crazy rule changes ( that are basically anti-maccabi)

nlb it ould be a great option because will allow mta to discoveer talents from a lando that mta' usually doesnt consider, but that is the basket land
i'd be so happy

You're forgetting something-It's not just what our local league does, it's also the level. In the Adriatic we'll get a chance to play against much stronger opponents and that could really help us be more prepared in the Euroleague games.

I agree..
after game 1 against Caja in the top8 Blatt was so frustrated..he said that the players couldn't make the switch fast enough from the level here to the EL level..

Yes... and if Maccabi joins in theory NLB could have 5 Euroleague clubs. (Maccabi, Cedevita, Olimpija, Partizan directly + team that goes to qualifiers).

Talking about good competition

Even the ACB has "only" 4 teams next season in the EL.
