I will be really surprised if Slovenia won't win the B division.

We will actually have a chance to see what the odds really are as early as tomorrow (20.45) when they face Sweden. The Swe U16 team has been talked up as being the best youth NT Sweden has ever had but a lot depends on Jonathan Person (G, Bologna) and his back problem (he sat out the game against Luxembourg today).

Any Slovenian channel that will air the games?

I read that Bosnia-Hercegovina withdrew from the competition and I cant find them on the homepage for the competition either.

Does anyone know why they withdrew???

According to our fellow AlbionGate money was the problem

We'll see. In my opinion the only thing Slovenian U16 NT lacks is inside players. Indeed, tomorrow we'll see Sweden - Slovenia. Sweds have tall guys, while our biggest guy is 200cm. I was also told that Swedish NT is one of the most talented Swedish generations ever - Jonathan Person, Tobias Borg, William Magarity, Nick Spires, William Asplund and Max Berg. I don't know any of them, but heard they are probably our competition for the champion of division B. No channel will broadcast the games.

No need to rolleyes, B&H countrey or BB federation has real big mony problems and I don't mean just regular economic crises that's arond the world. It's ben bad there, now it's even worse...for small sample like almost 50% of people there don't have a job

they would have a shoot at A division medals even whit out bigs if 92 born kids didn't screw them...

Thanks, I didn't know that.

Looked like Croatia could steal the game, but they missed critical FTs and Spain won in the end.

Turkey passed Italy 69-59 behind Berkay Candan's good performance (19p-13r). It's too early but it seems like another tall guy is coming from under. PG Eroglu too had very nice stats though.

Do you have an idea about why Berkay plays as PF? I believe he's to SF.

Also Erbil is great. He's 1.93 and PG. He might be reach 2.00...

During last few days some friendlies was played:

Lithuania - France 87:56 (34:13, 22:10, 20:15, 11:18)

Lithuania - Italy 93:81 (28:24, 28:13, 18:23, 19:21)

Lithuania II - Italy 87:76 (18:21, 24:22, 19:13, 26:20)

For this moment seems like that was JUST friendlies games, because our youngsters just killed young lithuanians yesterday. And if say truth,i really confusing now, because or our boys so strong or young lithuanians so weak...

Vaslover,do u know if Karasev on Russia team is the son of Vasilly?

Russian kids are simply bigger, and that's about it. I haven't seen anything special in their team, not a single prospect of Jogėla's caliber (yep, he disappeared in the 2nd half, but Tauras was still the most intriguing player on the court). We'll see today, if this Lithuanian U16 squad is able to achieve anything.

P.S.: And we lost to Poland... Come on, it's getting ridiculous. Are there really in Lithuania no talented kids over 2 m high, who could not be outrebounded by Poles? This team has no inside presence...

Lithuania is the biggest disappointment so far.We finally won it wasn't easy at all. Tomorrow very important game for us against Latvia.Poland is a very nice surprise.

Poland with another close game, another win. Sounds surprising. Liths and Greeks will play for survival tomorrow.

Hugo Invernizzi from France is shooting the 3pts extraordinarily well so far. 9/11 yesterday, 2/3 today.

The most impressive from him imo is is overall performance as he really use the ball pretty well (no to, not a serial shooter despite the stats and an overall rather impressive accuracy). Scoring and rebounding + couple of pass & steals.

honnestly even if he's a bit known in france, i doubt a lot was expecting such a start in the tournament even though it's just the begining of the tournament. To make a cheap good word, hopefully (for us) it is the start of a beginning

Crazy game between Slovenia and Sweden in B division. Slovenia was up by +15 and was in control of the game for 35 minutes, then Sweden came back to the game in last quarter and led already 54:62 5 minutes to go. 3 minutes to go Sweden was up by 12, but Slovenia didn't give up, although it the game seemed lost.

Rojc stepped up for Slovenia and hit some important shots (this guy has balls, he also scored for the win at Slovenian U16 championship finals - crazy three pointer), Gominšek hit a cruical three pointer and Slovenia came back and Škerbec scored four seconds to go for the win 72:70. Sweden tried with a three pointer at the buzzer, but they failed.

Slovenia's point guards (Rojc can play also combo guard with 193cm) Matej Rojc scored 24 points and added 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2stl, 1 blk, 3 TO in 36 minutes, while Luka Rupnik scored 17 points and added 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 stl and 5 TO. For Sweds Jonathan Person scored 30 points (12/23 for 2), 5 rbs, 3 asist, 3 stl, 2 TO.

Do you want to say that Karasev junior is a not serious prospect? C,mon man, i suggest you to be more objective. Btw, don,t forget that when our youngsters lost lithuanians two weeks ago in Finland, we played without Karasev...;)

Well, he is keeping his form. Another very efficient game today.

In group A, Montenegro is leading against Italy. If they can win by 5 or more, they are surely going for the next round. Italy and Israel's faith will be decided by Israel-Turkey game then. Depending on this game, Israel will finish either first or the last :).

Edit: Montenegro won by 6 (80-74). They are in. The Italians are now mass-praying for our win I guess... :p
