adidas to release 2019 FIBA World Cup-inspired shoe collection

With the FIBA World Cup set to begin in fewer than two weeks, adidas basketball will launch a “Ball Around The World” sneaker collection. The set of FIBA-inspired kicks looks like it sounds.

The global collection is three shoe set.. Even though James Harden was one of the nearly 20 players that have pulled out of the competition, it hasn’t stopped the company from leveraging his signature shoe for the collection and leading it out of the gate with their Harden B/E 3 followed by the Marquee Boost and Pro Bounce Low 2019.

The special Harden shoes lean big on a patriotic American theme with hues of red, white, and primary blue (navy, actually), while the other two shoes have silhouettes better targeted toward the rest of the world that shows off a more international-theme with global patterns around colorful accents of the shoes.

The most interesting and innovative move is a detail introduced with this collection; a name-tag that gives the wearers of the shoes a white space to mark up their shoe.

the adidas release isn’t the only World Cup collection. Their announcement follows Nike already teasing their the super-powered AlphaDunk and the tech-friendly Kobe AD NXT FastFit. As for the adidas collection, you can expect them at adidas retailers overseas later this month.
