How do Super Bowl squares work?
If you aren’t sure how to set up the game, we understand. That’s a lot of blank boxes! No worries, we’ve run several Super Bowl squares so we’ve got all the steps down and detailed them out. Take a look at the five steps so you can follow to ensure you are running Super Bowl squares the right way.
- Step 1 – Print out the 10 x 10 Super Bowl grid that we have published for you.
- Step 2 – Write in the names of the players in the grid location(s) they choose. Most people play the game with a square counting as a single entry. If you are giving prizes out to the winners, the classic way to play is to charge a set dollar amount for each square.
- Step 3 – Once you have filled in the complete group of squares, you are ready to pick numbers for each row and column on the board. You can do this by placing the numbers zero through nine in a hat on small pieces of paper. Pick until you fill in all of the columns, then do the rows of the grid on the left-hand side of the board.
- Step 4 – You can play the game with there being a winner after each quarter. The way to select the grid is to use the ones place of the teams score at the end of the quarter. For example, if team #1 has 14 points and team #2 has 7 points, the numbers 4 and 7 are used to pick the square.
- Step 5 – Repeat step 4 at the end of each quarter.
That’s it. Pretty simple.
