The Indiana Pacers have lost in the first round of the NBA playoffs for five consecutive years. It was evident that changes needed to be made. This is what the general manager of Indiana did – he hired the Toronto assistant who brought with himself a new staff. They will be hoping to go one step further this season and reach the East semifinals.

Now that this season’s roster has been finalized, Indiana hopes to take a step forward for the 2020-21 schedule.

The starting Indiana lineup looks quite solid, despite the fact they only played 86 minutes together during last season. TJ Warren and Victor Oladipo will want to play faster, but this will be only possible if Oladipo doesn’t ball stop too often. The Myles Turner – Domantas Sabonis tandem should work, but all of this has to be put down on the court. We need more evidence that Turner can play offense and give Sabonis more high-post flexibility.

The Pacers will start their season with a game against New York on December 23rd before taking on Chicago and a back-to-back games with the Celtics before 2021. The Pacers had a respectable record last year of 45 wins and 28 losses. Let’s see if they will manage to improve it this time around.
