Fiba.com: Ime Udoka is the younger brother of Mfon Udoka, a member of the women's Nigerian National Team and one of best female players in Africa. And Ime is as good as his sister. And like his sister, who played in the WNBA for Houston in 2003, Ime finished the 2005-06 season with the New York Knicks, although he had played four games for the L.A. Lakers in 2004 on a 10-day contract.

Udoka is a great shooter and rebounder, and he raised his game to a top level during the 2005 FIBA Africa Championship. He spent the season with the NBA D-League's Fort Worth Flyers under National Team coach Sam Vincent before a call-up to the Knicks. Udoka is THE star of the Tigers. He made a name for himself in Europe in 2005, scoring 24.8 points per game in the French Pro A league in nine games with Vichy. But Udoka refused numerous offers from larger French clubs to go back to the United States to try, once more, to become a legitimate NBA player.
