FACTS: Born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He lived with his mom and his
sister. At the age of 6, moved to NY, were he was spotted at the age of 14, by a
friend of a owner of a basketball team in Puerto Rico. Signed to play pro ball
at 14, he moved to Puerto Rico to enroll in Colegio Bautista de Caguas High
School, with fellow prospect Ricky Sanchez. Developing into the National Teams
program, he joined the Mens National Team at age of 17 for the Panamerican games
in El Salvador. After having a breakout season in the BSN in 2003, he
established himself in 2004 as a serious NBA prospect dominating former NBA
players in the puertorrican league attracting a lot of scouts and General
Managers into the games. Selected in the NBA draft by Washington, in the second
round, he signed a 3 year contract with the team, later he joined the Puerto
Rico team that beated the USA in the Olympic Games. Regarded as one of the top
prospect of Puerto Rico basketball.
