IBN Notes: Although Oberto is probably the most unheralded Argentine player in the NBA, one should diminish his role and the intangibles he brings to perennial powerhouse San Antonio Spurs.  There's nothing spectacular about Oberto's game --- standing rebounds, solid defense, setting picks and rolling to the basket for layups...  "He's the ugliest productive player I've ever been around, he looks like a bull in a china shop out there." says Coach Greg Popovich.

Playing alongside fellow Argentinian Manu Ginobili, has also helped his transition into NBA, and over Francisco Elson for the Spurs starting job --  "Most of the time when I get the ball on the elbow or the high post, I know when (Manu) is going to make a move," Oberto said. "Sometimes, when you play a long time together, you just look in the eyes and you know what he's going to do. So he makes it easier."
