He was named to SEC's All-Freshman team, largely because he led conference in blocks (79). As a sophomore, he started 12 games on NCAA Championship team, shooting an amazing 71.4 percent from the field and 80.0 percent from the line during NCAA tourney, while averaging 3 blocks per game during tournament. As a junior, he led the team in blocked shots (66), finished fourth in rebounding (4.4 rpg), and fifth in scoring (7.0 ppg). In his third postseason run, he averaged 8.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Magloire originally applied for early entry into the 1999 NBA Draft but withdrew his name from consideration prior to the draft. As a senior, Magloire was named First Team All-SEC by both media and coaches. He topped his team in games started (33), rebounding (9.1 rpg, which also led the SEC), field goal% (.500), blocks (54) and finished second in scoring (13.2 ppg). Magloire tallied an SEC-leading 15 double-doubles. He finished his collegiate career as Kentucky's all-time leader in career blocked shots (268), ranked fifth all-time in the Southeastern Conference. He recorded 37 blocks in his NCAA Tournament career, tying Alonzo Mourning for third all-time. He also became the 47th member of the Kentucky 1,000-point club, finishing his career as the school's 42nd all-time leading scorer. He became the first Kentucky player and third SEC player to ever be named SEC Player of the Week three times in one season as a senior. He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the first round of the 2000 NBA draft.
