From Nba.com: Born in Port-Au-Pince, Haiti and lived there for 14 years before moving
to Montreal. Played basketball for the first time competitively as a sophomore
at Lucien-Pagé High School in Montreal, Canada in 1996. After two seasons at
Surenpagge, transferred to St. Patrick's High School in Elizabeth, N.J. where he
is the all-time leader in blocked shots despite just one and a half years there
Favorite subject in college was computer graphics. In his rookie NBA season
(Philadelphia)...played in 34 games, averaging 1.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per
game in 5.2 minutes...missed 28 games, spending 16 games from Oct. 30 to Dec. 3
on the injured list with left knee tendinitis and 12 games from March 1 to March
24 on the injured list with left knee bursitis...DNP-CD in 20 games...at Indiana
(4/17), played a season-high 21 minutes, scoring four points with four rebounds
and two blocks...grabbed a season-high eight rebounds at Orlando (2/23)...had
his best game of the season at Utah (12/29), with season-highs six points, and
three blocks in 13 minutes...scored his first NBA points versus Milwaukee
