Of these 12, there are four teams whose fans have never gotten to even see them play in the NFL Championship. Which Teams have Never Played in a Super Bowl in the NFL?

So, the four teams that have tortured their fans and never made it to the Super Bowl are: Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the Houston Texans. If you are a Cleveland or Detroit fan, then you will be correct when you point out that your team has won an NFL Championship that predates the Super Bowl era.

What NFL Teams have the Most Super Bowl Wins?

Heading into Super Bowl LVIII, the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers are each tied with six Super Bowl wins. Next up are the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers with five victories. The New York Giants and Green Bay Packers are in third place with four Super Bowl victories. No matter what, we’ll add to this list after the 2024 Super Bowl. If the Chiefs are able to defeat the 49ers in another Super Bowl, then they will have four championships. If the 49ers win, then they will tie the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers with six Super Bowl wins.

The 12 NFL teams that have never won a Super Bowl are: Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Carolina Panthers, Cincinnati Bengals, LA Chargers, Minnesota Vikings, and the Tennessee Titans. We won’t get a chance to see this number change in 2024, but Super Bowl LVIII will be fun to watch regardless.

Will we See a New Team Win the 2025 Super Bowl?

We definitely have some teams on the cusp of going deeper into the NFL Playoffs. The Houston Texans outperformed everyone’s expectations behind CJ Stroud as quarterback during the 2024 NFL regular season. Given the year of experience and a few key pieces, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Texans make it to the 2025 Super Bowl. Similarly, the Detroit Lions were as close as you can get to earning a spot in Super Bowl LVIII. We’ll definitely have some time to see what moves these and other teams who have not won a Super Bowl make in the 2024 NFL Draft and free agency.
