We don’t have the exact stats or information for this, but were pretty confident that the Warriors became the first team to have three different players convert four point plays in one game.

Even the most casual of NBA fans can probably guess who those three players were the Warrior’s Big Three (that loves shooting threes – how meta): Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant.

Curry, Thompson and Durant went for 4-point plays in the second half last night. Those 12 points helped fuel a comeback that came up short to the Miami Heat thanks to a Dwayne Wade buzzer-beating three-point bank shot. The first four point play came from Curry as he was fouled by Josh Richardson

The second thanks to Klay and Dion Waiters

And the third came from Durant at a crucial time of the game as he was fouled by Bam Adebayo

For Curry, that was his 17th four-point play (unofficially) in his career and Durant’s 14th as they both climb up the list of NBA’s all-time leaders in this unique category. Curry is 5th all-time and Durant is 7th all-time. Even with three different players hitting four-point plays, the Warriors came up just short 126-125 thanks to Wade’s one-foot heave.

“It’s special for me,” Wade said after the game. “Obviously as a team we needed this win bad, but we kept fighting, everybody. I’ve been in this position so many times, and so many times you don’t make the shot. And the one I make is a one-legged flick from my chest, it’s crazy. But great to do it in front of the fans. This is a fun moment. I told Steph [Curry] I needed this one on my way out. So y’all get enough, you got enough. I think the one thing cool for me is to be able to do this when you’ve got younger teammates that heard about some of the things you do but don’t always get an opportunity to see it. So it was cool to be able to do it in front of those guys as well.”
